I don’t have a phone, so I can’t withdraw my money.

I have $80 sitting in my account, and because I don’t have a cell phone or landline at the moment, I can’t access it. For gift cards, PayPal, or anything. I’ve gone five rounds with customer service and they will do nothing to help me. I’ve lost my money because ibotta changed their rules without notifying their customers.

It used to be a great app, but now there are hardly any items you actually buy and the ones you do buy there are multiple ads for. The ads are insane it makes you give up. Update 2/9/21 I stopped using ibotta because as I stated in the above the ads are insane to redeem a product. So today I receive an email that since I haven’t used ibotta in a while that I will soon be charged $3.99 from my ibotta cash u til my ibotta cash is down to $0 unless I use it within the 30 day grace period. Are you serious? For not using an app your charging people from what they earned. That’s so unnecessary, just delete people accounts and let people withdraw what they have earned and move on.

It’s fine I suppose. My biggest problem is when I’m trying to redeem an offer and it’s not recognized. Then you have to scroll through every single offer you’ve selected to find what you’re looking for. It has a search bar, but you can’t use it. Then if it’s a store brand and you’re trying to use their “any brand” coupons it barely ever recognizes them. There’s no button to tell it to “learn” a barcode. I know I’ve missed out on offers & coupons from just being so annoyed it only finds one offer on my receipt out of how ever many I know I have. It’s a lot of work for like 10 cents.

Why is it that every company that grows bigger seems to care less about their customers who built them? Ibotta used to give great offered and 10 cents for every receipt. They make it so hard to get cash back now. I just got an email threatening to charge me a service fee if I don’t scan a receipt. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I’ll be deleting cuz of this.

I LOVE this app. I’ve probably earned about $60 back after just using it a few months. The trick is to not fall for the general sales trap of buying something you normally wouldn't have just because you can get a little cash back on it. It’s especially great when the app offers “free after purchasing” products. I literally got a whole frozen turkey breast—normally $11ish—for free after I bought it then scanned my receipt into the app and got the cash back.

I have been using Ibotta since the beginning. I will no longer use for online shopping. All my purchases were cancelled this past weekend and I cannot get a straight answer from customer service. They are quoting language that is not on the offer on the app and I keep getting told to update my app. Very poor customer service. Would not recommend
