This technology is a contractors dream. No more gaining access to controllers and having to make trips when customers ask questions. Second to none, the Hydrawise controllers and associated software have been a revelation for us. I don’t even present the customer with another option.
ignores rainfall, buggy app

All zones are set to stop watering if rainfall is at least 0.1” The controller diagnostics show good internet and server connection. It also confirms rainfall the past day is 0.3” (it rained all day). Yet it started watering. I tried filling out the contact form in the latest iphone Hydrawise app but none of the selectable fields work and it refuses to send the comment while complaining about unselected fields. A bit frustrated. Very buggy system and corresponding app. Pro HC 24 Station Controller sw version 4.05

This app and controller gives me a remote and also tells me how much water I’ve saved. This has been the best internet controller by far.

The app keeps on locking up. Makes running your automated water system difficult. Disappointing.

When I first got this app it worked well. Now I can’t even log in without it getting the ‘beach ball of death.’ The interface on the actual irrigation is so small that this was easier to use. Not anymore. Please fix it.

Updated to 1-star - absolute trash. All sorts of bugs in set up (you’ll have to use a browser versus the app) and only works 50% of the time. Go with Rainbird.
Get a Hunter Hydrawise controller!

I’ve tried Rachio and Rainbird’s apps for their WiFi controllers and Hunter has nailed it. I also love that Hydrawise is available as a desktop website as well. The reports are fantastic: Weather forecasts and historical weather data. Weather station based watering triggers are saving me a lot of money on my water bill while keeping my landscaping looking great. I can see when my system will not run due to forecasted weather triggers. Everything I need from a smart controller app is in Hydrawise. Plus, if I ever have any questions about my controller or app, Hunter has free technical support that can view activities in my controller log. This helps in correcting any mistakes I may have made to my programming or adjustments. Get a Hunter Hydrawise controller and the Hydrawise app, you’ll love it.
Loses data feed, wastes water. No fix in app!

My chosen weather station stopped sending data. But can’t choose a new one, since I have too many for my plan. It should be simple, just deselect all stations and pick a new one. No, there is no deselect in the app where I can find it. The thing waters every day in the winter! Had to pause manually so I don’t waste water! So I try logging on in safari to change weather stations. Incompatible, “your browser blocks cookies”. It says click here to log in, brings up a blank screen and that’s it! No login!

It was so easy to update my older hunter system. Hooked up super easy to out homes WiFi. We love the new hydrawise system!
