We loved the app until the removed the money

We have been playing since 2017. I played words, sports, tunes, hqx and regular daily. I thought the game was a nice bit of entertainment. I really enjoyed watching my balance grow as I won a few cents here and there. All that changed, when they swept account balances and we “forfeited cash” for all games over 90 days without any warning. That rule may have been in the TOS, but it wasn’t enforced. If they had been doing it’s, then we never would have let the balances build up. To sweep accounts now with no notice feels wrong and I cannot support the company who makes this decision. For reference, we were active accounts playing every night, multiple games when we had them. I can’t speak for anyone else, but they lost a loyal customer and fan in me.

It says I need t update in App Store yet in the App Store I only have an option to open the app, not update. I uninstall and re download just to have it tell me I need to update to continue.

I have tried cashing out several times now and nothing. You take my balance away but later put it back. Now I see, according to the rules I have forfeited some of my money. I can’t even cash that out. Says the system is down. Is this a scam? It seems the integrity of the game is questionable

They make it almost impossible to cash out any winnings and then just take the money from you without any warning. Don’t waste your time with this!!

Why not give us the option to donate our winnings to one of the charities y’all are supporting rather than send, in many cases, the trivial (like that pun?) cash amounts to us? I used to play HQ Words every night. Sadly that particular game no longer exists, but that’s not the reason for my review. The one star is for HQ making it completely impossible to cash out your winnings due to random arbitrary excuses or supposed “contest rules and terms of use” that have been “effective since July 2017,” winnings not claimed within 90 days are forfeited. This is a garbage excuse that they’ve come up with to not have to pay out everyone’s winnings. My $23.66 has turned into $1.26 of available balance. The rest was forfeited even though I cashed out before they went bankrupt, never received my money, had the balance reinstated, only to then be told 90% of it is forfeited. Garbage scam of a company. I used to enjoy playing the game, even if there was no cash prize I still would’ve enjoyed it, but don’t be a company that deceives their users. It’s absolutely ridiculous Oh, and now cashouts are disabled so I can’t even get my measly $1.26. Just do yourself a favor and don’t bother downloading. As previously a full supporter of HQ, the way the company has treated long loyal users is tragic, and they have completely lost my support.

You can win money and I have. Good luck trying to cash out and use that money. They hold up your winnings in review for weeks without letting you cash out. Then they confiscate your winnings because you didn’t cash out in a timely manner.

Awful! I tried to cash out before they went off the air and the money went out of my account but did not go into my PayPal account!! And now it says it was forfeited!!

I had been playing this game for a while and then it was gone. Since it’s recent return, it is more enjoyable. Matt is funny, a little too annoying at times but overall he is much better than any other host. Also I like that they have reduced it to 12 questions and can only use 1 extra life. I still haven’t won any money and those that do rarely win any more than $1 so don’t think you will win a bundle of $$. I recommend you just play for the entertainment and knowledge.
