Seems like HBO technology has not advanced since the 90’s. I have tried logging in numerous times with no avail. I have AT&T wireless and I have no problem logging into it w/ my Xbox, but it’s a nightmare with my amazon stick. We seriously shouldn’t be having this many issues with an app. HULU & NETFLIX logins are no problem, just a breeze. So simple and convenient. HBO has a whole list of troubleshooting steps and instruction. I guess they’re used to there app going to crap and crashing. Makes me want to cancel and use a fast & easy modern app that actually cares! (Negative stars if I could!)

This app is garbage!!! I have spent hours on the phone or emailing HBO “customer support” and the issue can’t be resolved. The support is WORTHLESS! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with HBO or this app!!! I have cancelled my subscription to HBO due to this issue. UPDATE: received the standard “cut and paste” response from HBO regarding my review. If HBO would have actually read my review they would know that I have already spent HOURS listening to them repeat the same standard script! THIS APP AND CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS HORRIBLE! I have already cancelled my HBO subscription and do not require any additional “scripted” response.

The CC button doesn’t even work. There are no subtitles on the 1st season of True Detective and there used to be before the update.

After years and years of people complaining about this problem, there is still no option to limit streaming quality/data usage so you can actually enjoy HBO. You can watch Netflix or Hulu or Youtube all day long and you're fine. One episode on HBO and your risking overdraft charges.

I ALWAYS have problems with this app. It ALWAYS signs me out and then it NEVER allows me to sign in again with my DirecTV. Please fix.
Can’t log in

Updated app and it logged me out. I logged back in with my credentials and it rejects them every time even though they are right. So I cannot access the content, making the app useless.
Failure to to cast.

I love HBO and the content. Currently I’m rewatching The Sopranos with my wife who’s never seen it.Unfortunately, it stops casting every 30 minutes, and to make matters worse, the app itself has an old style so I literally have to search “the sopranos” and scroll down to find the episode I was on. Feels like I’m back in 2012 I look forward to an update.
