Useless. Will not open any longer. Used for years but now appears to be shutdown. Probably HBO trying to cancel service to cable subscribers and force people to also subscribe to HBO now. I hope the cable tv companies know to stop paying royalties to HBO now.

Loads slowly

The load time when trying to scroll through the movies is so slow I just give up and end up not watching anything. It’s ridiculous. Att knows how to ruin anything they touch.

Update doesn’t work

It requested I update to access the app, I did. I am now receiving an error message that there is a newer version available (not possible I updated 30 seconds ago). Tried to login on my web browser but that is not a function, as it directs you to the broken app. Guess I won’t be watching HBO anymore lol back to Netflix!

I can’t use the app!

I thought ppl were lying when they said they couldn’t use the app! Dude really what’s the point of making it if people can’t use it! It would be simpler to fix the issue but no! You see ppl your app a lot of one stars that means there’s a problem HBO!! ??‍♀️ if i could give it a zero I would for wasting my time downloading it.

So, after some back and forth with the various screens, i was able to watch avenue 5. Tried similar idea on curb your enthusiasm and couldnt watch any of the shows. Acts like it loads it and then a black screen of death. Very poor app

Slow and bad layout

This is by far the slowest and actually only slow app I have on my iPhone XR. Loading videos always takes 10-20 seconds and god forbid you click on the wrong thing it’s a full minute before you can back out and click the right thing. Movies and shows take forever to load! The layout is confusing and not simple like Netflix or Hulu. They could really take a page out of their book and update. I can’t believe it’s 2020 and this app still runs like this.
