Please allow users to choose their own video quality settings. The app does a poor job of adjusting quality to current wifi speed. While I am able to watch Netflix and Hulu, there are many times I attempt to watch something on HBO Go and get a black screen. No error message, not even poor quality video. It just goes black and stays that way. I travel and my wifi quality varies. Please do not respond by telling me how I am using the app wrong. This is an app issue, not a user issue.
Frequent Crashes when Streaming to External Display

Great for movies, but very frustrating for streaming series material to external display. Not a connection issue, as previews tend to work. However, app tends to freeze or blank out video at beginning of an episode, often resulting in numerous restarts before episode will run. Once running, the episode usually runs fine until the end. However, issues spring back up again when starting the next episode, which makes watching back-to-back episodes rather tedious.

Out of all of the entertainment apps on iOS hbo go by far takes the cake for the worst optimized and most frustrating to use. I can’t even watch most of the shows because every time I try to sign in with a tv provider when I try to enter my username and password the keyboard comes up like it’s in landscape mode and half of it is cut off so I can’t even use it. It won’t let me paste my credentials in either when I hold on the text line the copy and paste option shows up at the bottom of the screen and when I try to click on paste it just disappears, so disappointed.
Doesn’t work for xfinity provider.

DirecTV customer: the app worked well, but about a month ago it stopped playing any video at all. Easily the worst streaming app available.

Honestly 2-3 years ago I hated HBO Go but I’ve noticed this late year or two it’s been near perfect. No more buffering in the middle of a movie, no more freezing while c selecting a show I want. So I’ll give credit where it’s due. Have to say I use to agree with everyone in the past but much better now!
Try to watch s show I have been watching and it will not play.

Not sure what is going on. I will be watching a show and want to go to next episode and it will not load at all. Just sits there, blank. I have shut off my phone reloaded app still the same. Pretty crappy I pay for a service and can’t use it.

It just keeps giving us an error saying, this is a sub account, log in with primary account. This is the only account we have!! Seems that lots of people have this same issue.

This app is awful. I have tried logging countless of times, knowing that my username and password word are correct, and this app will not let me login. I have tried resetting my password to the password I already use for this account and there is still a problem. I have been logged in before, however for some reason this app logged me out. I would not suggest this app to anyone, as it does not work well anymore.
