So last year I got a new phone number and didn’t think much of it until I realized my GroupMe account was connected to the old number. I didn’t think this would be a problem, all I needed to do was change the phone number on the account or create a new account if need be. That’s when it started to show the “something went wrong” message. I thought, ‘no problem, I’ll just log out and log back in’ I then continued to get the same error message. Once more I had great faith in the app ‘maybe it isn’t updated’ but I checked and it was in fact up to date. My final attempt to believe all is well began with the ‘I’ll just delete the app and re-download it’. This, in fact, did not work. So now im stuck having my group me messages texted to my phone with 5 texts for each group me message. I used to love group me and I thought it was awesome, but like the title says, I’m not a fan at the moment. If you get the bug fixed, awesome. I’ll gladly log back in. If you don’t, well it’s not like I can login anyway, but you get the point.
Stop it with the notifications!

Good app. Keeps me connected to my classes for college and all. My biggest problems in the stupid notifications! I looked at the chat but the notifications won’t go away unless I interact with the chat. Sometimes I have nothing to say! Please fix this, I hate it!!

This app works great for groups! The simplicity of being able to like a message, replay to it, do polls, and see a gallery of attachments is great! However, there is ONE thing that really could improve the experience: —Calendar events improvement: the calendar events work great. Except that every time someone clicks “going”/“not going” it shows a whole new message. I see the merit in this, however this drowns out the whole conversation feed. It would be better if it wouldn’t show the separate message of “Person X is coming”
Search feature is trash

I am a teacher that uses GroupMe for my parents. I used to be able to share videos of their scholars and sample work for them to assist them but now it’s just a black screen. What is going on and when is this being fixed?
Notification nightmare

A school group tried to set up a groupme. Downloaded the app- it was a complete nightmare of notifications. Text messages and banner notices doubled up. I tried to stop the text messages by typing “stop”- but embarrassingly sent the whole group a message that said “stop.” Other Dads were trying the same thing. Then I tried blocking the number associated with the groupme in my contacts- and that apparently brought down the whole group chat for everyone? Whatever- I see now how to control the crazy double notifications- but it’s too late. I deleted the app, and my groupme account and not looking back. You can tell it was created by Skype…
Add to calendar ISSUES

App is good for communication however the add to calendar feature is terrible. You can click it a million times and it will still never allow you to add to your calendar instead it’ll just ask you to “keep editing” or “discard changes.” Hope there gets fixed soon
Why can’t I join a group myself

I hate the fact that you can’t request to join groups and instead you have to ask someone to manually add you to their group. Can this be changed, please?
Cannot add event to my calendar

No why to confirm event to add to iPhones calendar. It just goes to edit and no way to go further. Still no way to add to iPhone calendar.
