Constantly crashing, not showing messages, double posting messages and not allowing liked messages to go through. Never used a more glitchy app.

This company does not have the capacity to run the service they provide. There is constant glitching, crashing, and failing of key features on a daily basis. New problems pop up regularly, and are never resolved. The app is a buggy mess. Would give 0 stars if I could

NEED A DELETE FEATURE

Delete Add

Like several other commenters have noted this app needs a delete feature for old DM’s as well as photos. Also having the ability to delete a chat would be great for all, especially if the original creator is no longer active in the chat and can’t be reached outside of the chat being emails are not shown.

This app has disappointed me year after year. I am a coach who communicates with my team via GroupMe. When it comes time to add new athletes to the group each year, I am able to add a few athletes before receiving errors when trying to add people to my group. There seems to be no rhyme or reason. If I wait a few days, I can occasionally add people again, but only a few before it errors again. I have the same problem using the web interface, but that’s even worse — it doesn’t give an error or any notification that it failed to add a user! An incredibly disappointing product.

I’ve had GroupMe on my phone for over 4 years. There’s no way to delete your account. There’s no way to directly and easily report user error. This app is so bad that it literally forces you to keep it

It’s a good app for the most part. We use this for my work chats so we have a lot of people in the groups. One thing that would be a really really great addition is being able to @ everyone at once instead of having to do it for each individual person. This reason is what is making my work team consider switching to discord or another similar app. We’ve got a lot of people and we tag them when there’s important messages everyone needs to see, but it is very aggravating and a little time consuming to have to @ 25 different people instead of just typing @everyone

Groupme works for all sorts of stuff but it’s really easy for your number to get leaked on there. I’ve been getting spam texts from miscellaneous scammers and I don’t know how to stop or get rid of them. It is also really hard to make the little red dot on the corner of the app to disappear. You have to look at the messages for around 10 seconds or look at it several times to get it to go away. It’s frustrating.
