Needs satellite view

i tried this app. I wanted satellite view. So i installed google earth and i'm using it. Make a update that makes google maps be able to do satellite view
Good routing, frustrated by no audio mute

I have used this great app for a long time, but with latest update I cannot turn off the audio setting. It interrupts during my podcasts or any streaming from my phone.

The ability to completely mute all turn-by-turn voice navigation is a huge part of what made this app great. Now that they've taken that away I don't know if I'll be using it anymore. Having that goddamn voice chirping directions at me against my will is irritating and unnecessary. Huge flaw. I'm crossing my fingers they bring back the ability to control your own settings and sound preferences ASAP. So disappointing.

No option to remove voice navigation

Looks like the latest update removed the option to turn off voice navigation. Makes this app essentially unusable for me. Back to Apple Maps for now.
Put the mute voice back where it was!!!!

Somebody at Google decided that the mute voice guidance option should be removed from the navigation settings menu and replaced by a tiny little circular icon on the map screen. I can't begin to express what a stupid idea this is. First, it's impossible to find unless you know it's there (I wasted 15 minutes of my life finding the stupid thing) then they made it so small that it is almost impossible to tap while driving. Trust me, most people don't want to turn on and off the voice guidance on a whim. MOVE IT BACK to where it can be found Google!!!! My wife couldn't find the mute option either and finally just deleted Google maps and downloaded another navigation app.

The design needs work! Why is the "reverse" option hidden??? It's the most used feature! And I used to be able to see a LIST of 3 alternative routes, where is it??? It used to show the time *without* traffic. Why did you take away the features that set you apart from other GPS apps?? Listen to your users! We don't care about easily switching between walking, bussing, or train! Or hearing that "the route is clear and you'll arrive on time." You've taken away amazing features and replaced them with useless ones.
