The app is great! I love having a place where I can review and search for other books and keep a list of books I would like to read! In terms of reviews on books.... Please when you review books, if you are going to outline the entire story in detail click on the spoilers button located on the review page. A review should not be a synopsis of the story but instead what you liked and didn’t about the style of writing, the storyline etc. I find myself not reading reviews because there is so much detail about the book!

Needs an update

Tawretinp freak

With all the db software available now, it’s time Goodreads spends the $ for a good update. Also, once I see my message, my notification alert should go off, not hang around for days.

Potential but lacking basic features

ElsEm84

This app could be really great but it has bugs that a mature app shouldn’t have and is missing common sense features like the ability to hide books that you aren’t interested in. I get sick if seeing certain books or how the recommendations are most definitely not tailored to what I actually read. Social features could be improved as well, building a more attractive and interactive community.

Great App

DreddtheZedd

One of my favorites, it’s seamless and almost better than the site.

Fantastic App

If you have not tried Goodreads, you are really missing a great app. Not only does it give you a means to organize your books but it provides a way to keep track of those you wish to read. You can also communicate with authors and friend others readers. All of this exposes you to potential books to read. I just LOVE this app. Give it a try!

Amazing app!

Ruckus!!!

My only complaint about this app is that I don’t have more active friends on it! Maybe I’ll meet some more on here?!

For all of those who aren’t readers....

If you’re not a reader but want to start reading GET THIS APP. Before this app, my goal was to read 12 books in 2021 (one book per month) but it’s February now and I’m already on my 5th book. This app has recommended soooo many great books and I have fallen in love with fiction. I literally cannot wait to read at the end of the day and track my progress on the app. Please for the love of God download this app LOL.

Encourages reading

Fatfasterrrr

I love how it makes me eager to read and see what my friends/family are reading. My only critic is the UI is a little rough sometimes. Finding people isn’t very seamless. Sometimes my app shows I have request but it doesn’t load them.

Love this app!

Just started using good reads to log my reading and give praise to the wonderful authors out there. So happy to have this! The app makes it so much more convenient!

Grace-filled & Young Age Appropriate

1977sw

This dad understands his children (9,7,5,3) are growing up in a complicated world and that they will see confusing sights and hear confusing messages at even their young ages. His “letters” to his children break the issue down using analogies they can understand. All the way through the book, the grace-filled Gospel of Jesus Christ is apparent. The pain, fear, loneliness and frustration felt by transgender people is fully acknowledged, and the author’s children are frequently reminded to respond to them with love, kindness and friendship. At the same time they are reminded that the brokenness and frustration being experienced by transgenders is not all that different from the brokenness we all experience in this world as a result of sin. The only way to fix that is not found in ourselves, in other people’s acceptance or in a visible gender transition. The only real “fix” is found in Jesus. “You will never truly understand who you are, until you are clear on who Jesus really is” (pp. 48-49).
