Increasing cost

Would be five stars but, new releases are removing features unless an upgrade is purchased.

Just Excellent

I have been using the App for more than 5years. It’s worth every cent of its value.

Ugly

Not only is the app ugly, it’s pretty much nonfunctional compared to the previous release. Yet again the dev is charging for features that were available in the now unsupported app. Money grab it seems.

5.x broke goodreader

joe@$&=%#

Minor issue: Video player won’t play full screen since update to 5.x Major issue: I paid for good reader in 2014, app recently updated to 5.x, then I purchased pro pack. After uninstalling good reader now I can’t download the program at all without rebuying good reader (5.x). Goodreader does not show up in purchase history. I have contacted apple who said to contact developer. I emailed good reader developer with no response to date. Paid for good reader, now have I no access to good reader at all through app store. Avoid good reader 5.x. This update broke a good program.

Bad control with ipencil

أمير بابل

I love GoodReader, in fact all of my documents stored safely in the App. But when i read always use other apps like PDF expert or just new Adobe reader. Because its very confusing when i use apple ipencil , the app count every touch as writing even when i am not intend to do so. Other apps made an optional writing or just move within the page. Please fix ipencil issues and I guarantee the GoodReader will be perfect.

Good app with minor security flaw

TonyC2000

I was disappointed to discover this password protected folders in GoodReader are fully visible and readable in Apple’s Files app. I reported this to the developer who says there is no way around this. This is an incorrect statement. It’s simply that GoodReader developers have not implemented this functionality. I will likely replace GoodReader entirely with FileBrowser whose password protected files are NOT visible to the Files app. I hope the GoodReader developers implement this functionality at some point. Until then, I’ll be using FileBrowser.
