I've been a fan since the iPad debuted and there were listed comics-reading options. Goodreader was and is among the best.

FEEDBACK: several glitches and features to fix in next update regarding video

On iPad, I can switch a video to picture-in-picture. However, I cannot then exit to read other documents in GoodReader. Please allow playing of video to continue but to still go back into GoodReader in order to read PDF files while video is playing. Please add ability to adjust playback speed (1.5, 1.75. 2x speed). (same for audio files). Please add the ability to change the default “backwards” button on video playback instead of being the default 30seconds, to instead be shorter times (3s, 5s, 10s, 15s) Please add saving of last position in videos (and audio files) no matter how long it’s been since you last opened then, so they restart where you last left off, not at the beginning. There is also a glitch where if you have previously watched a video, then you renter the main screen application later after closing and reopening the app, if you click "back to reading", it won’t go back to the open PDFs screen. It rather will reopen playing the last-played video. Finally, if possible please add the ability to add “bookmarks” at different time points in videos. Thanks!

Great app for PDFs

I’ve been using GoodReader for many years now and love it. I made the transition from printing out PDFs to carry with me to reading on my iPad thanks to GoodReader. It’s probably the “work” app I use the most regularly. I have some minor annoyances but they’re so minor I wouldn’t consider taking the time to even try other apps as I’m so comfortable with GoodReader.

Good at what it does, but could use a simple feature

I like to use it as a reader because of its many viewing options. But one thing that really bothers me is the “tap to next page”. I prefer scrolling to the next page rather than tapping. If I could disable the tap zones so that I stop accidentally flipping pages, I’d give 5 stars.

This app used to be five stars now it’s horrible. It actually works in regards to reading PDFs however I can no longer sync my icloud files though it has a folder. The settings point me to the main settings. There is nothing in the main setting. Customer service never returned my email. I even tried using Dropbox. But Dropbox doesn’t actually sync to where there’s a copy in Dropbox and GoodReader simultaneously. It downloads a copy to the hard drive. User manual for icloud support is useless. Money talks and I’ve lost trust in this company. I will share my experience with my subordinates at work. ——————————————————————- UPDATE: My boggle was actually with Apple and not GoodReader. After conducting more research, I’ve discovered that Apple has either made it more difficult or impossible to actually sync with GoodReader. A rep finally returned my email with some instructions however I was still unable to SYNC my files with iCloud. I want to have a folder on my computer that also keeps a copy of my files in the GoodReader app and automatically synchronizes with each other. I ultimately figured out how to do this with Dropbox but not with iCloud. By the way, I’ve reduced my iCloud storage plan and increased my Dropbox plan. I show companies where I stand by either putting less or money money into their pockets. Shame on Apple for taking away this functionality.

Can’t rotate individual pages

ALQ-131

GoodReader lacks the most basic feature to allow the user to rotate individual PDF pages. Utterly disappointing!
