Limited usefulness

I like the Good Sam website but have been very disappointed with this app. The search function is very finicky so if you don’t have the place you want to go exact, it can’t find options. Also, unlike the website, the app has no travel planner so if you want to plot a trip, search for things along your route, find gas etc. you’re out of luck. Considering many people use their phones for gps, you’d think this would be a priority feature.

There is no place to review a Good Sam park. Also there is no place to read reviews from previous campers. The rating system is bad and not true. One campground was rated 9.5 and it was the worst campground I had ever seen. More camper input is needed in this app.

I’ve downloaded this app 4 different times. It had never worked. I can see campgrounds sometimes but that’s it. I can’t log in or anything else. The screens are blank. Useless and no help with campgrounds.

There is no way to sign in to see your trips that are already planned. We want to see our trip when we are on the road.

The Good Sam app says every Camping World is open 8 to 6 daily. THEY ARE NOT! CALL THE STORE! This is our first experience with an RV and have learned to call the stores to see if they have what we are looking for. Some locations are large with a lot of product and some are quite a bit smaller. We were also told that we could park in any Camping World overnight. This would have been great if it were true. We arrived after the store closed to find a fenced in store. So we had to then find a campsite for the night so we could drive to the store in the morning

Very unhappy with latest update!

I have used this app for years to search for campgrounds while on the road and have never had issues until the latest update in March, 2018. No matter the town, the results always came up “0 results shown”. There was never a “filter” system until this update in which you must enter a “miles radius”. I don’t know if that is what’s restricting the search. I hope the app will be up and running before our next road trip!!

The RV Parks “pay to play” with the various Good Sam guides. The account managers at Good Sam get paid to sell advertising not to inspect the campground. The rating, size of ad, and where the ad is placed in line with the other parks in the same area are all paid for by the park.

Functional decent app that gives good information about the campgrounds. We tend to use google for reviews, but this app is a good jumping off point.
