Can't get past Sign Up screen

I entered everything to start my account and each time I hit enter, I would get an error message that reads "something is wrong". Yes, this app. Moving on.

$5 ???

I don't care if a "gig" is only 10 minutes away. My rent for a studio apt in Seattle is 2k a month and you people expect people to put time and effort into errands for $5? FAIL!! SHAME ON YOU!

Super Easy!

First off, anyone receiving the error "something went wrong" needs to go into their settings under general>location services to allow Gigwalk to know your location. That error message goes away when you do that!! I did a gig two days ago and just got paid through PayPal. I just followed the instructions and submitted my work. Remember, you have to go into PayPal to deposit the funds received into your bank account or they will just sit in your PayPal account. Super easy.

Waste of time, and waste of space on your phone

Gig walk is a joke and a waste of time. I've had the app installed on my phone since 2013, and I have completed one shift for a payout of five dollars. The first shift I completed three years ago, I didn't really understand, and I had to go back and redo some of the aspects of the gig – which I did. I did eventually complete the gig successfully, but my inexperience apparently hurt me in successfully applying for future gigs. Since 2013 I have been a full-time RVer, and this summer I applied for several gigs as I was approaching certain towns. I ended up withdrawing from the gigs because after three or four hours (even though the instructions state that you will hear back within one hour) I would not hear back that I was accepted (or even denied), so I was forced to withdraw, having left the town. I contacted support to talk about my issue and being accepted, and to make sure that withdrawing was not negatively affecting me. They said that my profile was fine but that I should not apply for gigs and less I was within 50 miles. This doesn't really work for me, but in the winter time I sit still for six months or so – so I decided to try Gigwalk again. I will apply for a gig, get denied the next day, and the gig will reappear again. I've applied for the same gigs over and over again in the hopes that they will just get tired of me applying, accept me, and give me a chance to prove that I finally know what I'm doing. I use the easy shift app for 90% of my gigs, and I'm also a Field Agent. With easy shift, I'm a general manager and I can do up to 10 shift set a time. I've made over $7,000 since early 2015 with easy shift alone. Gig walk is just not worth the time and effort. I can actually be at a store were a gig is posted, and not be chosen- Yet I have no issues with any of the other apps that I use. I think that gig walk is a proprietary app that has a core group of giggers that they use but they are required to "open" jobs to everyone. I don't think most of us got in on the ground floor early enough.

Don't fall for them.

I was another sucker for them. I followed their directions precisely. I'm extremely detail oriented and I care about my work. So I took my time to do my research before jumping in to do a task. I submitted everything and they attempted to pay me. They ran into a problem with paypal and refused to answer any of my tech support requests. Basically, they just tried once and gave up. I repeatedly tried to communicate with them and they ignored me. Buyer beware.

Don't bother! Can't even get approved!!

Not many gigs. I found two gigs and wanted to complete them but I had to apply first and wait for a week. It should let you do gigs immediately! Total I applied for five gigs now and they haven't selected me at all!!!! I'm new and apparently they select only trusted gig walkers but how can I prove I do a great job if they don't even give me a chance? Anyways, even a child can complete those simple and easy tasks so I don't understand why we have to apply and be approved to and do such trivial tasks?! It's not difficult to take few photos or answer questions snot products in store so it's a joke that they don't let you to do the gig right away. It's a terrible application I don't recommend wasting your time. Those gigs are for around $10 and you have to apply for each and write why you should be selected. They treat it like It's a real full time job application but it's just a small job for $10 yet I still can't even get it. I'm very disappointed that others are always chosen even if I may apply first and I'm in the vicinity and I would do a great job. I wonder if I ever will be even accepted to do any gig???? Don't even waste your time!!!!!!!!!

Very frustrating!!!

Frustratedgigworker

What is up with the DO NOT SIGN UP making gigs in my area unavailable. Been doing gigs for months without problems, in fact am listed in the top 5% in my profile. Please fix the problem or provide an explanation soon!!!

Well... There is 0 gig in the 100 radius of where I am, which covers from south bay all the way to downtown Sacramento. This contains all metropolitan area of NorCal so if there is nothing then forget it lol.

WARNING: Not worth your time!

SummerSunSweetheart

Minuscule pay when it comes, nonexistent customer service, if you submit perfect work you still don't get paid, waste of time, gas & effort. DONT BOTHER

Great App

This app is one of my favorite crowdsourcing apps of all time. Great company!
