Lots of gigs in my area. When I apply for a gig the app says that they will make a decision within an hour. I have never heard back within an hour, sometimes not even within that day... After having this app on my phone for over a week, and applying for 8 gigs within a 15mile radius of my house, I have never been selected. Made a lot of money with competitors, none with gigwalk. Deleted.

You NEED a smartphone!

I thought this looked like a fun way to make a couple of bucks, but it wasn't. I found the instructions to be rather confusing for one thing. Then, I thought I would use my ipad to take the pictures but that doesn't work either. You HAVE to take pictures from the app, not from your device camera, and that means you have to have an internet connection to do so. Great if you're somewhere with free wi-fi, but you probably won't know that when you're applying for the gigs. Don't bother with this if you don't have a smartphone!

Overhaul

Need a new version

READ all the comments in this review section and the problems are true for everyone. You're getting paid chump change that doesn't cover driving expenses. Don't sign up until they change there description to minimum $10 per gig. An improvement would be a NEGOTIATION section.

It seems like a great concept. Not sure how many people actually use this service.

Not worth my time, great idea though

Not many gigs out there. I'm in Denver, one of the largest metros in the country and the closest gig is 3.00 94 miles away lol a joke

Fails to Meet Expectations

superdelightful

Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews of this application. As a CPG professional, I’ve used both the consumer and enterprise versions of this app. In fact, I’m not quite sure which of these three issues is worse: (1) The overall poor performance of the application; (2) the across-the-board unresponsive “customer service” from Gigwalk via zendesk; or (3) the general disdain for Gigwalkers by clients who routinely enter incorrect data, lead with poor instructions, and hold Gigwalkers accountable for their own mistakes. Look, if you have the time to drive 30 miles to a gas station to take pictures of potato chips for $3 (that is, on the rare occasion when there are gigs on the app ), and don’t mind application bugs, snippy clients, or whether or not you’ll be paid: by all means, download this app. Otherwise, don’t waste your time.

BEWARE! Don't waste your time

There aren't many Gigs. The one I did get was for a UPS Store. I thought great, and applied for it. I went and did the Gig, but emailed support because one question was to get exterior photos of the store in daylight, but you couldn't get license plates or people in the photos, since parking was right in front of the store. I tried waiting, but it's a busy place and every time one car would pull out another would pull in. So I ended up taking the photos with the license plates and emailed support stating it was impossible. I then submitted the Gig. A few days later, I received an email stating the client might have questions, and I would receive an email if they needed more info. They told me to submit my work, to which I was confused because I thought I already had, so I waited. Today, I received an email stating that I was removed from the Gig, because I didn't complete the additional information needed. Great, I would've submitted additional information if they would've told me what it was! I never got an email with further instruction. So now I don't get paid, and the Gig is back on the map to do, but I can guarantee you, it won't be me that will be completing it. It may have only been 7 miles away, but the $4 payment just isn't worth it to drive back down there for the amount of time you have to put into your Gig. Don't waste your time. There are plenty of other apps out there that will pay you for your time. Skip this one! Beware!

Not letting me sign up. Uninstalling....
