Ruined a good thing

Kellog260

After initially being pleased with this process, I became disappointed in the first year or so when availability and pay deteriorated. The tasks got longer and longer and the pay got skimpier. Requests to return for for the same job for more or better photos and other issues made it a drag and even less profitable.

Fails to Meet Expectations

superdelightful

App fails to work on many occasions. Customer support is non existent. Horrible. Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews of this application. As a CPG professional, I’ve used both the consumer and enterprise versions of this app. In fact, I’m not quite sure which of these three issues is worse: (1) The overall poor performance of the application; (2) the across-the-board unresponsive “customer service” from Gigwalk via zendesk; or (3) the general disdain for Gigwalkers by clients who routinely enter incorrect data, lead with poor instructions, and hold Gigwalkers accountable for their own mistakes. Look, if you have the time to drive 30 miles to a gas station to take pictures of potato chips for $3 (that is, on the rare occasion when there are gigs on the app ), and don’t mind application bugs, snippy clients, or whether or not you’ll be paid: by all means, download this app. Otherwise, don’t waste your time.

Crashes

Crashes every time I attempt to create an account. I’ve deleted and reinstalled multiple times to no avail.

Needs improvement

Gozo269

Sometimes you get paid in one day sometimes you have to wait over 12 days to get paid. New update is not an improvement

not useful

I live in the middle of a city of 1.5 million people and the closest gigs are several miles out into the suburbs? FOH with that BS.

Worst Support Team EVER

katisamar

I have emailed and called multiple times about problems I've had submitting my work on EVERY SINGLE gig I've completed. There is no way to reach someone when you're out on a job and can't complete it because the app is having technical problems. The email support is a joke: I finally got responses from two different people days after each request for help and neither one of them followed up or offered solutions. I asked for someone to call me since, due to my disability, it's difficult to do a lot of typing. The response I got to that request for help was 'sorry but we don't offer phone support'. So bottom line: I've done my part on four gigs - driven miles out of my way or made special trips, taken photos, taken extensive notes - then encountered app problems trying to submit work, then received ZERO help from Gigwalk, and finally get notified that I've been removed from the gig for failure to complete. Do Not Waste Your Time or Gas Using This App!!!'

Terrible

I’ve used previous versions of this app with no problem but the current version is worthless. Photos don’t upload properly and for no apparent reason. Support is non existent.

WARNING: Not worth your time!

SummerSunSweetheart

If you contact support, they’ll just take the work that you’ve completed for them, without compensation, and remove you from the job! I have high ratings with all other companies and I produce impeccable work, but this company does not value that. They are thieves & scam artists!!! Minuscule pay when it comes, nonexistent customer service, if you submit perfect work you still don't get paid, waste of time, gas & effort. DONT BOTHER you have been warned.

Disappearing pictures

nycolerosen

Nothing is more frustrating than spending a good amount of time and effort completing a gig with 10+ pictures, leaving the store to finish comments and submitting your work to find that all the pictures DISAPPEARED. I have them saved to my camera roll, but there’s no way to upload them through the app. I attempted to send the pictures to GigWalk through email, but no response. The client sent back my work requesting the pictures, which I have no way of getting to them and not getting response from GigWalk. Overall, it’s a great concept and I’d love to do more. But the picture bug is terrible, and no response from GigWalk leaves me unable to use the app.

What a joke

I’ve completed hundreds of successful jobs through other apps, and thought I’d try this one. My bad for thinking it was worth my time.. The jobs I tried were terribly worded and unorganized. I had a job rejected that came back asking me to correct some items, and everything they asked to have corrected was exactly how it was already in the report! Some others I tried wouldn’t let me upload pictures because the apps location was incorrect. I withdrew from another one where the initial description said I’d be auditing one product group... start the ($5) job and find out it’s actually 3 product groups with dozens of detailed pictures for each all while staying incognito. And worse, the tabs for photos were out of sequence and didn’t say which photo went with which product. Terrible organizational skills... I withdrew after 1/2 hour of frustration and being eyed up by security. I spent the next 15-20 mins at the same place completing 4 jobs for 3 other apps totaling $20. One of those apps approved and paid me before I got home! Save your time and gas money... Gigwalk is a joke!
