The app is obviously great, but I wish I could log in and see history items the way that I can online. Otherwise, love the game and love the app! Cache on friends!

Anytime I’m out hiking, just wanting to go for a walk with a purpose or in a new town I pull out the app to see if there are any nearby geocaches. Has taken us off trail to some unique and hidden treasures.

App is completely broken

My kids found out about geocaching from one of their friends and begged me to take them out. I had done some geocaching in the past and thought it would be a fun activity to share with the kids. This geocaching app has apparently cornered the market since it is the only app with thousands of reviews and a google search for “geocaching” quickly turns into nothing but links to this app/website. Initially I thought that would be a good thing. Turns out that this company has hired some good seo people and pure crap developers. The free options were few and far between so I figured I would look into the premium option especially since you can’t do much of anything without the app asking you to upgrade on every single action. I thought the monthly cost of $6 was ridiculous but I’m used to subscription pricing and making sure to turn things off before I get charged again so i went ahead and bought it. Everything went through fine on the app store so i was now a premium member. Or so I thought. The premium cache markers came up and i was able to find one down the street and we headed out for our adventure. I put my phone in my pocket until we got close to the site. When i pulled the app up, it asked me to upgrade to premium again. I selected the upgrade again and I was able to see the cache information. However, anytime i closed the app it would go back to asking me to upgrade again. After about 5 rounds of this, it stopped working completely. Every time i open the app, it acts like i am a brand new user. Selecting “upgrade to premium” gives me the message that i am subscribed but the app still does not work. I tried closing the app, logging out, and redownloading the app. Nothing worked. A complete waste of time and nothing but frustration.
Can’t Log into App with Facebook

Says it can’t access Facebook Profile. Check your phone settings. I can log in with my Facebook profile at the website with no problem.
