Not good at all

Braillercd

I don't know what you guys were thinking with this app. It opens with out me asking and takes me places I didn't ask to go. It has poor maps. The cache icons are SO tiny. Navigation of the app is all over the place. That little "you are close" chime is most annoying. If there is a way to give a favorite point I can't find it. The logging options are very limited. WHAT NO NEEDS OWNER MAINTENANCE. COME ON! And your help has nothing to do with the app it's just about caching. That is all well and good. Your App that I paid for is far superior. Time to get your heads out of your A** . This app is for teeny boppers work on it more and sooner or scrap it.

50% better 50% worse

Why can't I save up all my logs to send once I get onto wifi? Ugh. Might go back to the old app.

Good App, but contradicts heart of Geocaching

The app works well and has very nice features. Everything works well (except the compass, sometimes). However, the idea of having to subscribe for something like this is just silly. Especially since the "premium" feature was introduced fairly recently. ALL caches (traditional, advanced traditional, multi-caches, etc) should be available to the public without a monthly charge. A $5 app? That would make more sense than a $10/3 month plan. Geocaching is about wholesome, educational, exciting, and FREE fun. Subscription-based access ruins this idea.

Love it

Family and I have so much fun with this. Thanks for a great sport and app!

Such fun!

Love doing this!

Good, but could be better?

App is getting better. Still Need to be able to pick a travel bug to drop or pickup from cache. Compass is not very accurate. Using satellite view of map will not let you go in very close. As I said it is getting better now able to do offline lists when no cell signal available. We like having bookmark list available, saves having to run pocket queries. Pictures are not downloading and not all travel bugs in inventory download.

Quite Good, Pleased

As a novice to geocaching, I'm happy with this app and its functions. They're very well thought out and a good alternative than having to use a GPS, which I'm not sure I'm ready to buy yet. I'm not exactly a fan of the membership system, but they have to make their money somehow. Overall, a great app that I will be using often in the future!

Very disappointing

One of the things that made geocaching great was that it was an easy access, low-cost activity. Now lists are a premium feature, and touching on the little button to select a cache is fairly difficult. It took me several touches, and several wrong caches to get the right one. This will not encourage me to renew my premium membership, but rather I will probably just look for other outdoor activities.

Have to pay for everything. Terrible.

Use to be a great app. Now they're only concerned about making money by having you pay for practically every feature. I would rather pay for a complete app over paying for pathetic subscriptions. This app is everything that is wrong with new apps coming out today. Pay to play. Garbage app.

Really?

I've been caching for ten years now. I've always loved this app. So easy to use, especially when I travel. What I dislike about this new app follows: -This one is free. The other app I had to pay $10 for and making this free is really unfair to us premium members who cache regularly. -only searches for the closest 45 caches. The other app, I could map and plan ahead. Having a limiting factor is very frustrating. -No google maps? Geocaching.com offers it and the previous app did. I hate using Apple maps because the satellite images are not always clear. Google has more clear and precise photos. -I hate the new logo. It's hard to find on my phone, even when it's on the dock. The old logo was green and distinctive. Very easy to spot. -the map loads caches without me wanting to. It wastes my data usage for searching areas I don't want to search. I wish I could search manually instead of it being automatic. I liked having more control over my search areas.
