Missing some vivosmart 4 features

musicianeer

I just got a vivosmart 4. I love my band but there are a few features left to be desired. -The connect app doesn't sync my resting heart rate with apple healthkit, just the heart rate -There's no connected GPS, which is unacceptable in 2019 -Sometimes Connect won't recognize the band so I'll have to toggle Bluetooth. Perhaps it should periodically sync in the background -Why can't the vivosmart 4 recognize naps automatically? Makes no sense. -if it automatically picks up sleeping why not middle of the day naps? -when it syncs with external scale services like Qardio it doesn't take in other features, like body fat or muscle mass -for that matter, if it can read external services why not apple health? Love the product so can't wait to see these fixes. Thank you Team Garmin!

It's great. Not the best it could be but better and better with each update omg

Suddenly decided I had a different device.

Can’t sync because the app shows I’m using my old, and lost long ago, vivofit. It’s been gone two years. (Fell off my wrist w/o me noticing until it was too late). The app says my vivid art HR isn’t connected. Today it said the Bluetooth on the device wasn’t turned on. Why can’t we delete devices we no longer have? Why can’t we delete a device we don’t want to sync with? Accuracy is still pitiful. I wrote a review some time ago about how the only things accurate are the time and the heart rate. Started wearing the device on my dominant hand/wrist a few weeks ago. Accuracy improved somewhat on the flights of stairs after switching wrists. The vivofit had a design flaw allowing the band to come unbuckled. The replacement “loop” thingy helped but it would still fall off. BUT at least it was accurate! This is Garmin right? The GPS company? Can’t tell a change in elevation or distance?

Easy

Easy for me to use. Big bright icons keep me in control of my health. Also seems very accurate and precise.

App works flawlessly every time.

I use this app with my Fenix 5x and they sync perfectly every time. Lots of great info. Great app.

Great app

Would like to have selectable time frame evaluation functionality added to the activity evaluation charts Current functionality is limited to single point reference... Also it would be great to have multiple overlay functionality Also it would be great if the map of the run could be visually synchronized with this data but I can probably assume that this functionality is limited because of the other “non free “ apps that have this and other premium functionality..... Just begging ?gave five stars Wrote the review when I first got it now it’s three stars because I have talked to tech and they have repaired somewhat of what they accidentally deleted so here are the details of what used to be—-it would be nice to be able to use the previous versions as when I noticed the glitch I did my best to keep it from updating on the iPad but it updated anyway ? Stan Since I wrote that review I have seen several updates that have inundated the functionality of the training load Training Load is an indicator that gives an up to the minute level of fitness representation that fluctuates with time and intensity of workouts It—- being scaled by time frame and/or historical time frame slices gives a good insight of both short and long term fitness capabilities needed for designing current workouts and for predicting proper race efforts When I wrote the last review—-The app would deliver training load by the week-any week,month-any month,or year-any year——-All this delivered in chart form easily read The suggested load range and actual load being superimposed for easy reference I communicated that to the team on the first update that removed it from the app and the team has put some of it back The only reference to training load and range can be seen only for one week at a time This is found under performance stats, training load for those who have not discovered this powerful tool that can answer the most perplexing question of athletes——What should I expect for today——- Stan

Love my Garmin

I purchased this device because I could use it in my Water Aerobics class and although it can be submerged in water, it will only keep track of laps. It works perfectly for every thing else. Love being able to monitor my sleeping?

Health Issue

This app is great but it syncs incorrectly with Apple Health and says that I have walked insane amounts of miles. Need to fix

Vivofit 2

I love it! I’m on my 2nd one. Only because the first one fell off and I lost it. I did check each day and someone else was wearing it. Sad about that. And all the data was lost, I ordered a new one and I had to start all over again with earning badges and all the miles I had walked. That’s the only bad thing about it., plus it only lasts for about 2 years then you have to start all over again with a new watch. I wear mine every day and only remove for swimming and showering, even though it’s waterproof. I do like the app, but my one other Quam about it is, is you can add other activities but I sit and sew for 8 hours a day even though I’m not walking I’m still using a pedal. I have a new Fitbit when this one dies to wear that I won at work. But I wish there was a battery to replace so al the data logged wouldn’t be lost each time you have to get a new one.
