Feels like it’s getting left behind

I’ve been a long time Swarm user. But it is starting to feel...stale. Examples: Dark mode still not supported (might be? I’ve seen notes but it’s not working). Watch app doesn’t update location. Might be a swarm bug or an apple bug, but it renders the watch app useless. I hope the app isn’t getting left behind!

Splitting into FourSquare/Swarm was a bad idea

FourSquare COULD have been better than Yelp and Travelocity as it combined all the benefits of each in a nice package. Splitting into 2 separate apps was really the beginning of the end. To be fair, every loyal user of FourSquare at the time knew it and even predicted as much but the management at 4S continued it anyways. Since then I’ve seen a steady decline of users until it’s basically just a few friends from the original group left. It got really annoying that I had to go back and forth between the 2 apps just to see more reviews that I ended up just deleting FourSquare. It’s just a matter of time before I end up deleting Swarm as the fun factor of checking in and spending the coins on discounts and other stickers is gone.
Is this still on?

I’ve been playing this since the beginning... needless to say, it doesn’t feel like a growing community, quite the contrary. It feels like this is left to its own devices, which is a bit sad, but I can understand Foursquare has better priorities. That being said... any plans to make those coins useful again? New badges? Anything? It hasn’t changed in years...
“Better support for Dark Mode”?

Love the app in general but I have a question: The release notes for the two most recent updates have indicated “better support for Dark Mode.” The app doesn’t appear to support Dark Mode at all so I don’t understand what that’s even supposed to mean.
