Really Pleased with this App

I’ve tried several of the other work timers. This is the only one that is actually nice to look at. It’s peaceful and motivating at the same time. I love that ability to add custom phrases to help me stay focused. All in all, worth the purchase price.

Better than a boring timer

I’m enjoying this app! I’ll be honest. Have I looked at my iPad or TV or some other screen while the app is running? Yes. Yes I have. But I’m more conscientious about it. I feel more motivated to stay on task. I’m a teacher and grad student and in spite of my slip-ups, I always manage to get done what I need to. This app gives me a little extra gratification for that hour of focused studying and it provides a friendly layer of accountability. And I have an adorable forest to show for it. Especially given the Amazonian forest fires happening right now, gifting my coins towards a live tree donation is a great reward for something I need to be doing anyway.

Forest is a simplistic, beautiful app that inclines users to concentrate at certain tasks, whether it be completing those heaps of assignments from your Calculus class, or writing essays for your English class, or even your basic household chores, you can grow many trees (even real ones for a good cause!) and customize them as long as you stay productive for a certain interval of time!! :)

This app really helps me put down my phone to focus on homework. I thought I had a lot of self control until I started my online classes. I would sit for hours “trying” to do my homework but only getting distracted with things like facebook, and text messages. With this app I can now put my phone down and make sure I do my homework.
