Old app was better

App is updated as of 5/7/20 and theater showtimes will not load. But what does work is the pop up advertisements at the bottom of the screen. Perhaps get them to rate the app. Throw in no more rotten tomatoes and it barely qualifies as a one star rating. It’s disappointing to see Flixsters new direction.

By building a ticket brokerage (with some tertiary content) you’ve crippled the app’s potential unique value proposition. Moreover, whatever decision lead to the loss of user reviews so that you could recapture the user under a new account speaks volumes about your (bad) product vision. HThings you won’t (but should) do: 1. Fire your head of product; 2. Hire a new head of product; 3. Rebuild the product around the value of rotten tomatoes (critics, community, and user reviews) with an emphasis on exploration NOT theater ticket sales.
Been using it for years but going to switch if they don’t implement some changes

I have used and have loved this app for at least 8 years. For the past few years however, they have added in a lot of Indian films to their database. There’s nothing wrong with that whatsoever! But I’m not a fan of those movies and I would like the ability to filter them out based on either “language spoken” or “country of origin”. I have submitted this request to them years ago to add this feature. They already have a filter button on the app so why not simply extend it to be able to filter by these film attributes. I create reports from data for a living and filtering is by far one of the most important and also one of the easiest things to do. However since my initial request to be able to filter by these attributes has been ignored, I will probably go elsewhere. It’s a real shame though as this app used to the be the pinnacle of movie ratings and reviews.

With the creation of a “new” Flixster account, they wiped away my ratings. WHY? I lost many years of ratings. Frustrating. Please fix this.
New Update is Disappointing

I really liked this app, but I find that the new update is not user friendly and is just frustrating every time I try to use this app.
Great when it works

This is one of the glitchiest apps I use regularly. It takes a long time to load completely and at one point auto-closed while I was using it. Had to uninstall and reinstall. I also don’t like that really obscure independent movies and limited release movies that you can’t see most places are mixed in with the ones you can see anywhere. Those should be in a different category.
