My experience with Fixd has been horrible!! They fail to turn up for scheduled jobs, never follow up and basically pass you off to one manager or persons who never gets anything accomplished. Avoid this company, expensive and unprofessional with no follow through.

Tried to use the warranty twice and have been denied per their "terms and conditions". Once in the middle of the summer and it would take 4 days to come check it. Now it's snowing and they want to charge me $600 for parts and labor because their agreement says that they will not replace a working unit. If it's working why would they need new parts??? They want the unit to totally brake for them to come and fix?!? This is a scam!!!!! ****Update... They finally responded to my complaint wanting to know more about it. 5 months after the incident?!?. Great customer service!!! Complete Scam.


If I hadn’t already purchased a warranty, I’d go with anyone else

I recently bought a condo. Before I moved in, Fixd came and supposedly fixed my A/C which wasn’t working. I purchased the warranty with Fixd at that time. Because it was February I didn’t have to use the A/C until a few weeks ago in May. When I tried to use it I realized it was running but not cooling. I made an appointment with Fixd to repair the A/C. On Friday the guy shows up and is there for two hours. Before he leaves he says that there’s a leaking coil and the condenser is broken and he’ll make an appointment for me through their app the next week on Wednesday or Thursday to have it fixed. I thought he was there to fix it but apparently not. So I wait and on Tuesday I still had not been notified that an appointment had been made. So I make one myself and send a message through the app to my technician that this is a second appointment and they should have record of how to fix the problem. I signed up for a 1-3 window on Friday. On Friday morning they call me at 8am and say they’re going to need 4 hours so can they arrive earlier. When I ask how much earlier they say 9 or 9:30. Inconvenient but ok. So three guys show up at 9:30, and spend SEVEN HOURS working on my A/C. When they leave it’s blowing cold air but they say they have to come back the next day to install a small part on the outside unit. I don’t know if they did that or not; they never contacted me. But it stops working the next day. Now it’s June in Dallas and I have no A/C. I’ve made a third appointment but im very upset.

Extra fees apply if you want a fix within 2 days. This was not communicated well in your brochure, and it indicates Fix’D clients are a low priority, or you just like to make a profit off the hardships of others.

FINALLY...A REAL home warranty company that ALWAYS does what they say, what I paid for, and more than expected. This company really does business the old fashioned way, and does MORE than a quick fix. FIXD has brought integrity to this industry.


Diappointing

1. Had electrical repair done and was supposed to receive estimate of further repair recommended. Have not heard back from anyone 2. Had appliance service technician show up without an oven dolly, therefore, he was unable to pull oven out to assess problem 3. Repair #2 scheduled for oven was rescheduled due to technician no longer working for company 4. New oven repair tech came to complete job and didn’t have any type of thermometer to determine if the temperature was correct. Calibrated oven anyway without any type of confirmation that it’s correct. I suppose “guessing” is an acceptable practice worth $50 service fee I don’t understand the poor communication, poor preparedness of technician and the overall lack of competency/skill of the technicians employed. They continually disappoint and do not return my calls as requested to speak to a supervisor. Would not recommend this company to anyone!


App has bugs

Their IT team needs to work on the application. After two sessions with their support person I was unable to log on. They did, however, give me a phone number to call for warrant service, so all is not lost.


Unprofessional Pros

The In-office pros know nothing. They send unqualified HVAC techs to your home without any knowledge of system operations and functionality! Unable to determine correct replacement parts or entire system. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS WARRANTY CO. USE FIDELITY NATIONAL HOME WARRANTY!!!


Difficult to get a pro when you need it

Difficult to get a pro when you need it without paying extra money. Only availability is dio the middle of the work day unless you want to pay 2-3 x’s more. Unable to get service quickly for problems have to wait over a week for a problem with hot water heater. I DON’T RECOMMEND this company for your home warranty.
