Won’t let me log in

SoulKotana

It keeps saying there is no character data.

2 price adjustments a day?

AstralDarkstar

You want me to pay $5 a month to get 2 adjustments a day? And a stockpile of 10 total? Do you not realize you'll be undercut within 2 minutes? This is a complete waste of money and there's a reason it's rated as low as it is. Yoshi-P should be ashamed this monstrosity is even released and pull it immediately.

Disappointed

AnthonySaysWoof

I would like to know which of these items were saved with gear sets. I can see it in my armory chest in-game but idk what items to safely sell without those details

Useful, Poor Execution

Minnesota Steve

The app is indeed useful for chat, checking the market board and selling items when offline. However the app suffers from at least 3 major problems: 1. Poor UI. The location of different items is not where one would think they should be. This makes the UI unintuitive and it took several days of use before I understood all the features. Additionally, for iOS, the app does not follow standard conventions. For example, any time you tap on something the app should respond with some type of indicator. Yet in many cases it does not and you end up spamming a UI element. 2. Synchronization. Beyond horrible. Enough said. 3. Value for features. Poor.

Fun even if a bit limited

Aislynne09

I’ve been using the free version of this app since Feb and I’ve enjoyed the fact that I can watch over my market board and chat with friends. I do wish I could move things around in my storage a bit more but it’s still ok. I upgraded this month just to have the free teleport in Shadowbringers without realizing I’d get the extra saddlebag and retainer so that was a fun discovery.

Our FC loves this!

Kasie K.

We use the free app for all our event scheduling and it has made everything so much smoother for our FC!

I had such high hopes

JRook1337

I had really high hopes when I heard there was a companion app to go along with FFXIV but this app needs a lot of work. First, there shouldn't be a premium version of the app. We paid $60 for the main game, we paid for each expansion and we pay $12.99 every month to play the main game. To pay almost half the monthly price of the main game for a side app is ridiculous. Second, the app does barely a fraction of what it should do as a companion to such a robust game. There is no shortage of content in the game (and the franchise as a whole) that the app could tie into, there are a lot of opportunities if Square Enix would just seize them. I'll try to keep the criticism as constructive as possible. Off the top of my head, here are things the app could do to be better: Allow us to play Triple Triad against NPCs and other players, the logic for the game is pretty simple so it shouldn't be too hard to implement at least against other players. Allow us to manage our Adventurer Squadrons, sending recruits on missions, manage our squadron member glamors etc... Allow us to handle our chocobo companion raising. Allow us to breed racing chocobos in the app. A mobile version of the crafting systems would be awesome, being able to craft items/food while I'm waiting in line somewhere would be great. A mobile version of the fishing system would be good too. If even a couple of those were implemented I think the app would be significantly better. There are some things the app could do that are a bit more ambitious, but could justify charging for the app because they would basically be games unto themselves. For example if there was an RTS minigame with your grand company that you could use to earn gear or seals, or a mobile chocobo racing game. These are all things that would not only make the app significantly better, but help us stay engaged with the main game itself.

Idk why this app exists

Hiue 233333

If you want extra retainers then ok that’s all it matters. The only useful side is it allows mogboard to be fuctional well, but SE bans their idling accounts wth.

Not actually free!

M@ri@h

Such a great idea! It would be awesome to be able to adjust items and sell things on the marketing board while away from the game. And this app will do that! But you have to pay for each item you want to sell. Don’t make the app free if that’s the case. Or better yet, make it useable for the people who already pay to play the game!

Pure greed

Mrcusanelli

First, the idea behind the app is great! But beware the greed hidden behind this app. First in order for this app to be truly useful you have to pay $5 extra a month to be able to sell on the market. That’s on top of you already buying the game plus a subscription PLUS extra for retainers. But you actually can’t list items on the market without paying a digital currency (kupo nuts) for EACH listing. All of the features should come standard with an existing sub or at least after paying the extra 5. This kind of greed should carry capital punishment. Will not renew the extra 5 for this trash.
