Wasting your time going to a spot with no compensation

When stores are closed and you spend 20 minutes getting there and not even their phones say their closed. That’s ridiculous. Favor do us a favor a pay out earnest/sorry/pitty money.

Running for one year

I find only one useful activity on this app that is legitimately worth my time, and is minimally frustrating. That’s taking fleet orders for HEB. It would appear the minimum value paid to driver is twice the promised traditional favor. If done twice in an hour you could be making up to twice the hourly guarantee, thus invalidating the need to take any other deliveries. I encourage the developers to make it so runners can schedule themselves to only take fleet orders or something in settings where they allow early assignment. Especially with the heb promotion going on my local heb retailers are overwhelmed with the amount of delivery happening and it’s going on at odd times like early morning so I believe this would further offset this issue. TLDR; Only take fleet orders from HEB. They pay twice as much. Overall running is a good experience if you stick to that. Experience may vary by region.

Make it easier.

The issue is that you need more runners but there are barriers for most of migrants to work in the environment that Favor opted to work in. Work together with the restaurants so that they can accept fleet orders so that runners don’t have to hustle ordering food for customers, sometimes making mistakes on what customers want. Secondly work on your system dispatching, imagine if you are picking up from Barton Creek Square Mall and delivering to far East 290 Hwy and at your half way you get a pick up from downtown to far West 290. Please update that.

Not that great

When I first started, I was excited about the $9/hr guarantee if you are on schedule because the other gig apps do not provide that. My first month was easy to get a lot of scheduled hours but that trickled down. I used to schedule myself for 9-11 hours a day to make about $100. I realized that it wasn’t a good idea when I was driving over 100 miles a day and only making the $9/hr despite of how many orders I did. The really high price orders always gave a 20% tip of the total cost of their food but I think that was bc of the default. If I’m not making at least $1-2/mile the delivery isn’t worth it. The zones are REALLY big. And that’s apart of the problem of why I had to drive over 100 miles per day. If you live in a big city with large zones, you’re likely to get orders that are 10-15+ miles from your current location and the customer is ordering 1-2items so you will likely get paid $4.10-7 for that distance. They really need to make the zones smaller like Doordash. Another problem is the menu that the customer sees on the Favor app gives a description of what they’re ordering but you just get the name, with no description, that can make you mess up an order and now the customer is mad at you. A customer ordered “French toast” from a breakfast spot and they had several different options for French toast (1pc,2pc,3pc). On the restaurant menu I ordered the 1pc because they also have several other items. Turns out, the customer wanted the 3pc and if you go on the Favor app that’s the description they give but it’s not like that on the restaurant website or the favor runner app. That goes for restaurants that have an item that is on the lunch and dinner menu, favor runner app doesn’t tell you which one they ordered so you have to stop the entire order process(which is really annoying if you’re calling it in) to clarify. They also have a “free Chick-fil-A sandwich” day which is a pure nightmare. You’re likely to only get paid the bare minimum of $4.10 for those deliveries because all that person is ordering is the sandwich and you’re driving well over 4 miles for those orders. The fleet orders are the best.

Mileage and Taxes

I wish the app had a mode to track miles and other expenses, for taxes. I also wish it had a W9 worksheet. I think the Runner debit card should offer a sub-account for voluntary withholding. It also freezes and crashes all the time. I hate it.

Why wouldn’t you put where it works near the beginning? What’s the point of telling me about an app that I can’t even use do you people even think? How have you even made it this far you need to tie your arms together and take a long walk off a short pier

Garbage

Favor Runner Not Happy

I have worked for Favor since before the HEB takeover. It went from short fast deliveries to 15-40 miles round trip pickup to deliver. For $9 guaranteed on schedule it’s the most you will make. We use to make $15-$40 an hour. Don’t waste your time with this garbage app.

Only a few days in but I like it

Made $100 from work 3 days. You definitely can make a lot more but with my busy schedule I run when I can. I wish there was an option to only do fleet order though.

??????????

I went to orientation and my account has been active for 3 days, I submitted insurance, SS number, DL number, and other personal info only to not be able to log into the app or create a new account because this one obviously isn’t working. Contacted runner support and haven’t heard back for 3 days. App also crashes and has bugs that make it difficult to even try to log in.
