I unsubscribed and deleted this because financially, I just can’t afford it. I contacted the developers with concerns about possible charges and they wrote me three different times trying to get the information to credit me back. I find that alone highly impressive. For someone like me with varied interests, this app is perfect. It’s unfortunate that I couldn’t subscribe. Sheet music, art, scientific articles, articles on developments pertaining to my specific illnesses. There’s a little bit of everything in one place. But the customer care is what makes the difference. Before you give them one star, contact them. Give them a chance to address your problem. They are an impressive team.

The new scribd is the world’s best deal for books and audiobooks and sheet music. For 8 bucks a month I get whatever the heck I want as often as I want. It’s a little nuts. Five stars baby.
Downloaded playback stops

Downloaded books stop playing every 12 or so minutes. This has happening with several books. Cellular data is turned off and the books have been downloaded. Is this because there is some limit on content or because I am in the 30 day trial period and have finished four audiobooks in about a week? I have no idea. The Terms tab in My Account is blank and I can’t seem to find any usage limits anywhere. There is a wide selection of books I am interested in consuming on this app. I will continue to use this app and renew every month as long as this bug gets fixed. I will also regrade my review if it is fixed. Please improve your product Scribd.

I can’t believe this service exists!!!! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Audible is so expensive for just one book a month. This is perfect. The app works really well, too.

They have a good selection of books, and the concept is excellent. However, audiobooks are glitchy, and more importantly, MANY of them are actually abridged without making that fact clear ahead of time. Just keep your eye out; if a story seems choppy or rushed, try to double check it against a hard copy. No idea if this is intentional to save data space or if they don’t even realize what version they are offering.
