Enticing but too good to be true.

Have only had the app for a little bit Cee one month. In the beginning this app was great. I downloaded one book and have saved many more. The problem in the last week is that the app suddenly “dies”. Multiple times in a 30 minute time frame. Then I have to restart the app. Of course it doesn’t save or remember the last page I was on. Takes me straight to the Introduction. Once I find my place I have approximately thirty seconds to read a page before the app disappears again. I really like the book I am currently reading. Once I finish it I am cancelling my subscription. It is too frustrating to use and not worth paying for.

Not Transparent

It’s not unlimited. My access to the audiobooks I wanted to listen to was blocked in less than a week. It’s better than audible, in my opinion. But it would be great if they would be more transparent and clear about what the limitations are.

Favourite app ever!

I love having books at my fingertips like this! It’s also very aesthetically pleasing xoxo

Best app ever!

Machelle Ray

Seriously the best audiobook app! Especially since the books are unlimited. There’s no way I would ever switch to any of the other apps.

Defunct account

I initially used my Facebook account to access scribe. I have since disabled my Facebook account but continue to use the email address. The app will not allow me to either create a new account with my email and I absolutely do not want to go back to Facebook. Please advise.

Loving it so far! Only one request...

morganlynn1992

I have been an audible member for many years but with rent, bills, other expenses it has been increasingly difficult for me to keep my membership. IN COME ScribD like a shining book superhero complete with cape! ? This app is absolutely incredible and the price for the service cannot be beat. I have also been pleasantly surprised at the audiobook selection and narrators for each audiobook I have listen to. Many of them have been narrators I have already come to know and love ?????? I only have one request: I am blind and use the screen reader voiceover on my iPhone and iPad. Unfortunately to read e-books it is not accessible using this app. Pages cannot be turned. Please fix this. Other than that I could not be happier! Pretty sure I will be ditching my Audible subscription and using ScribD.

Certain function can be improved

Akj689

Excellent service...the explore function of the app can be enhanced as well as the audio book function. Excellent selection of book and audios.

Scam

It’s not really unlimited. Once you download a few books all the good books disappear or say they are available in the next billing cycle. Even when you search for a specific book it won’t show up. If you log out it magically shows up again. It’s a great deal but they should be upfront about what you are getting.

App Needs More Work

Hooohhaaa

The dictionary is not very easy to access. When I press on a word to look up, the system jumps to another word or location. Other times, the system brings up the magnifying glass showing the area without any words. I have had the system refuse to highlight anything to lookup. Very frustrating, so I just keep reading. The app interface is not useful, including the website’s interface. The home page does not show new books available to be read, nor does it provide any lists of any best sellers or top books. As such, the site provides information of worthless titles. What I don’t understand is why some books cannot be accessed. For example: I want to read the Sean Dillon series by Jack Higgins, but I get a message indicting those titles are not available, although the books are clearly there. However, I can access nonSean Dillon books by Jack Higgins. It’s inexplicable.
