A clitch right at the end

Overall fun game but at the very end the locked door won't open.?. I've played it a number of times now hoping they would have fixed it. No such luck

What is purpose really? I mean they could've just had those symbols & we could've went straight to the clue to use it on. And to open the door. It took me 5 times doing exactly the right way to get the door open. Needs little work ladies & gentlemen. And lightening up just a little. Overall great escape
