I have been docked one percent twice as the result of breaking too hard. Both times I had to break to be a defensive driver- avoid running light that turned red and avoid a car that changed exit choices in front of me. I am not happy about that, but I realize the app cannot know reasons for breaking. It does make me more conscious of driving safer.
Quit working again

Every time there’s an update it quit letting me login password errors. Reset my password system down warning. It is so full of bugs it’s not worth the little money saved.
Needs two separate scores for same account

Drive safe needs to figure out how to separate two beacons on the same account. I had to make a new account bc my wife’s driving was bringing my score down since it was a combined score % for both beacons lol

You do not allow phone usage. I was at 98% and had to use the GPS on my phone and my aberage went to 93%. I did not talk. I just needed guidance to a location. New cars use the phone now to stream books and music. New cars do not have C’d’s now. I hope you will address this issue. There are areas where the posted speed limit sign is different than the actual speed limit. We’re getting dinged on our speed when we’re actually following the speed showing on the signs. Also doesn’t take into account that sometimes a green light changes to yellow and you have to slow down quickly to stop at it or else you will be running a red light.
5 Cars but 1 average score!

Previous app version allowed user to select each vehicle and look at that vehicles score. New version only gives average score of all 5 vehicles! I have 4 kids driving and would like to monitor, encourage and reward safer driving but with average score that is impossible. Please restore that functionality ASAP. Otherwise the app seems to grade in a more fair and accurate method with newest updates.

One of our vehicles won’t show the discount. I have called State Farm and they sent a new beacon and it still doesn’t work. The agent I talked to couldn’t tell me the amount of discount I get for jumping through all their hoops - if any.
Location always on is unnecessary

The most recent update won't record trips unless we change our settings to always on. So our discount will be affected negatively if we don't change settings that will drain our phone batteries & use data unnecessarily. Not cool.

We put the devices on our cars in Nov 2019. We found it’s not accurate as it picks up cellphone movement not usage, speed is questionable as it stated I were going 85 in a 55 not possible. Also, hard braking doesn’t take into a consideration wildlife! So after I swerved to avoid a deer instead of hitting the brakes to avoid being dinged, my husband said that’s enough get rid of them before ether cause you to have an accident. The final deciding factor we were informed the saving was $2.00 a vehicle until the renewal at which time our rates could go up. I was rated the lowest at a 97. I see from the app that my driving isn’t bad and I don’t need a device to assist monitor me. Like anything try it out and decide for yourself. Its of no value to us.
