Not is good is previous version

The previous version of this app showed the score areas measured like: acceleration, speed etc. The new one doesn’t help me improve my score by not showing areas measured.

Deficiencies.

Decatur Spartan

There are some deficiencies in this app: 1- Getting dinged for hard acceleration onto freeways. Most around us are short on ramps with highway average speeds around 80mph. So accelerating to get to that speed in time to merge, I get dinged. 2- Cornering. My car is a Mini Cooper. It can go around corners quickly, with no lose of control or discomfort. But I get marked down when I’m not even close to 50% of what the car can do. My opinion is that this app does not take into account, the car one is driving, and certainly not the tires one has on the car. Which is a must in cornering situations. Nor does it take into account different needs when driving; such as matching others speeds when merging.

Constant nagging

I constantly get notifications from this app to “allow new Bluetooth connections” just because I turn my Bluetooth off when I’m not driving. I have also disabled notifications from this app, but they still bug me. I would delete it if my mother wasn’t forcing me to use it.

Ding for breaking hard

I mean what do you want me to do slam in to the backed up traffic that I suddenly came in to ?. I was driving safe the entire time. What would have not been safe is not hard breaking to not slam in to stoped traffic on a 60mph highway Funny thing is I did not even break that hard

I’m a bit concerned how the app determines braking when a driver is cut off and to responds quickly. Being an alert driver requires responsiveness when another driver is reckless.

Good but could be better

We get a discount just for using app - good. But 2 problems: it says I’m speeding when I don’t think I am. Since I only have GPS on my smart phone, not on my car, app penalizes me & says I am using PHONE while driving when I am safely, conscientiously, using my GPS on my smartphone. Recommend trying to get app to know GPS is being used & not penalize me!

Drive safe has brought me to be more attentive of my surroundings while driving. My defensive driver training from my past employer have been recalled. The reward of the discount is great but most of all I love my truck and don’t want anything to happen to it just fine the way it is.

Inaccurate and not useful

Maps are out of date. Falsely dings for braking and cellphone use. No real-time display. Criteria not explained. Geared for data-mining and not to improve one’s driving.
