Works fine but some unknowns

I wish it were more clear when the phone/app is paired with the device. I've gone on trips and looked at the end only to find it wasn't recorded. Also not clear what happens if I use my phone as a passenger in a household car... or use the driver's phone as a passenger. This should be ok as I'm not driving and using the phone but I doubt the app can tell the difference.
The metrics seem bad for turns.

I get dinged at the same spot every time for turning left and then moving up a hill. That’s just a poor metric for turns. I’m not going to turn at 2 mph just for this app to not ding me at the same point each time. Seems to be oriented to reduce the chance of a discount versus rewarding proper driving. It also gives you a ding for hard braking when a person decides to pull their car out in front of you. Once again, it punishes versus rewarding you. Thjj in bling about sending it back.

App did fine for a while then the final score kept dropping even with 100 percent scores in all categories . Also gets speed wrong and would rather have you run a red light rather than brake.

The device and app should definitely give the option to put that a passenger is using my phone while I am driving. I am graded poorly cause of one of my children using my phone to change our music that’s playing on my radio. As well as while I am driving longer then 30 minutes my child or children get very inpatient so they love watching a tv show or playing a game on my phone so it rates me poorly. As well as a passenger trying to reroute google maps for me because of traffic ahead. It should give you the option to tell the app someone else is controlling or using my phone while I am driving that’s one of the main reason I will be removing my drive safe from my policy it’s supposed to help save me money and at this route it’s going to cost me more on my policy due to this definitely not going to pay 40-60 extra dollars just to save a small $5 dollar discount not not worth my time nor worth me losing more money it defeats the purpose entirely.

Until deciding to try this I never kept my location services on and now I have too due to the way your app is designed. Your device should strictly work off my vehicle info not my personal info. The biggest issue I have is that you’re tracking EVERYWHERE I GO!!! Totally unnecessary and an invasion of my privacy!!! So now I changed the setting to only allow when using app, as in only when I’m driving my vehicle and it’s telling me I have to allow the app to be on 100% of the time. I know others that use their ins co features for a driver discount that does not work this way and is not an invasion of their privacy! The fact that you track me when I’m using my phone as well is something there’s does not do! Who wouldn’t want a discount on their insurance???? Yes, I would. But not at this price!!! Fix your invasion of your customers privacy and your customers will appreciate it!!

All trips are n This app has made me more responsible while driving. Never looked out for speed limit signs so much or kept checking my speed. I give it 4 stars because I got signed for using my phone while the car was turned off and keys out of the ignition!! I shouldn’t be dinged for that as I wasn’t driving!

This app is a terrible invasion of privacy. To have gps on 24/7 regardless of if I’m in my car or not is crazy.
