I know we are all wary of social media apps and have been burned, but this one is more a help than a hinderance. No social fluff. No obnoxious ads. Good way to keep up with colleagues.

This app goes beyond a "social" app and does promise HIPPA compliance, though I really don't what entity can truly claim that with hacker ability (and $$ backing) far exceeding the ability to block it. If we truly used it as a way to contact one another quickly, even while we are engaged otherwise, we could be more efficient and possibly take back a little of the time stolen from us by EMR mandates, PA/pre-cert appeals and proof of quality measure demands.

Not only as a way to reach out to colleagues, but also for its pragmatic, easily accessible tools like faxing, *67 feature, and convenient, pertinent article links, I can't recommend this app enough for any practitioner - particularly those in primary care.

I have found some colleagues thanks to this app and had conversations that I have enjoyed. Love the calling app which shows your office phone number. Helps patients to answer the phone when they know that it is coming from a medical office.
