Doesn’t work properly

The idea of having your DISH programming in your phone is awesome if it worked properly. Doesn’t matter what your are seeing, be it a recorded program in your DVR or a live feed on any channel it will freeze before the 7minute Mark. It will not work after that unless you close the app completely and then look for the program your were watching and replaying it, only to have it freeze again and the cycles repeats.
Latest version is bad

Latest update makes you log in every single time & is extremely sluggish on my iPhone XS! I used to use my app as my remote a lot when the dish remote was out of reach but now it takes almost a minute just to open the app each time & get to the remote. No way to go back to older version but I did turn off automatic updates to avoid similar problems with other apps updating..crap!
Crashes constantly
why bother upgrading the app
I used to be able to watch shows on the app. Now it crashes within seconds of opening the app. Give me the old back!
Unstable; requires near weekly re-login

When we first used the Dish app 5 or 6 years ago it was great! We loved it! We eventually switched to DirectTV after a move (and a sweet new customer offer) but their service was not great and their app even worse. So, when we moved again we went back to Dish and were thrilled to use the Dish app again. Well, that joy was short lived. We’ve been using the current Dish Anywhere app for a year and a half. It frequently locks up, frequently won’t pair with our Hopper DVR, and requires a lengthy repairing and re-login seriously every 2-3 weeks, if not more often! It’s really a pain!!! Not sure what quality control disaster happened between when we used the app 5 or 6 years ago, and a little over a year ago, but the current app is incredibly frustrating and virtually unusable.

Always gets disconnected when using the guide. Then wont reconnect. Only works for recorded programs. I can watch those anytime. Only thing good about this app is the frustration level you achieve.

Very disappointed...... no point in having the app if you can’t use it! It always logs you out so you can’t use it anywhere but home.
