Visionary & Exasperating

I <3 America

Dialpad offers some very compelling and unique capabilities which show a visionary approach to VOIP and corporate telephony. That being said, it is the most frustrating company and application I use everyday. The user interface is confounding. The desktop, smartphone and iPad apps provide great flexibility for how calls are handled but there is NO consistency in design which creates great confusion with me (an Electrical Engineer) and other users. We are a frustrated small company. I can't imagine how a large company could manage the training and support calls these apps would create. It would be interesting if all the 5-star reviews had some detailed praise. There is one thing that has improved greatly. I'll give a pat on the back for whoever got rid of all the spam calls. They also have reorganized the features on the different payment plans which is much better. I'm still looking for a better solution but I have not found one yet.

Failed number notification

Fabcabs

Anytime I try to call a number it gives me a “failed number” notification. I know these are actual phone numbers I’m dialing, so definitely something on Dialpad’s end. The web app works okay, this not so much.

Disconnecting after 1 second

intridia

The new app will now make calls using ipv6 over the T-Mobile network but is automatically disconnecting after 1 second of the call. Calls on WiFi work fine. It works now!!! Thank you so much for fixing that.

Poor development process = tons of bugs!

It’s like 2 steps forward 100 back whenever an update is pushed. Things that worked don’t and new features create issues further dragging down usability. Your developers desperately need to have their work reviewed prior to you pushing updates!

Useful tool but lots of bugs

App often freezes in transfer, dropping calls between users. All users on our account often don’t get calls ringing on their iPhones but calls always ring on the desktop version. Considering switching to using desktop only but that kind of defeats the point of the app. Hoping Dialpad can get these kinks worked out because it is as useful tool for our team.

Complete Clusterf*^#!

If you think Vonage is bad try Dialpad because it’ll make you feel so much better about Vonage. Where to begin?? Had our company 888 number ported by Dialpad and they screwed it up and for 3 days, through a weekend, our customers received an out of service message. Now it’s randomly ringing to our previous carrier and Dialpad. There is no one, NO ONE, to help resolve this issue. You can send an email and maybe in a day or two you’ll get a reply. Maybe. This is a company with zero customer service. Beware, only the enterprise package comes with a human being (supposedly). Get a can and a long spool of string, it’ll work better than this steaming pile.

Really the worst

So many glitches plus horrible user interface. I miss so many calls because of this app.

Very impressed

My company switched to Dialpad from 8x8 almost 2 months ago and everything has been great! We started out with a few spam calls, but since porting our own numbers it’s been smooth sailing.

Unreliable

somuchtimeinthecar

I use Dialpad for work and it’s a headache more often than not. It regularly drops calls, has no sound one way, or has a significant delay (making fluid conversation awkward). I often don’t get notifications until well after someone has called/messaged, and sometimes when the Chrome app is closed on my laptop, calls go straight to voicemail on my cell. Recently, I was completely unable to make outgoing calls through the app on my cell for several days. When it’s working, it works well—the feature to record a call is especially easy to use and produces better-quality audio than competitors. But whether it will actually work well any particular time I go to use it is a big “if.” Dialpad definitely needs some work when it comes to reliability.

Disappointing experience

MakinBacon7

Dialpad seems very promising but after using it for quite a while there are a few major issues. The biggest issue is the unreliability. Sometimes calls cannot be answered because the app get stuck on a screen. Oftentimes notifications fail to dismiss and calls in progress appear after they have been hung up. There are a tremendous number of spam calls as well with no apparent spam protection, but that is the least of the issues with Dialpad.
