Are you looking to scam people from their money? This is your app. There is literally no management. All DePop replies are automated- see below. No help. No effort made whatsoever. Seller gets to ignore messages, DePop sends patronizing auto replies and the buyer gets absolutely NO PRODUCT and NO HELP whatsoever! Literally points fingers at everyone else (Contact PayPal! No, call your bank! Contact the seller over and over repeatedly until you sound like a desperate deranged bully stalker!) without any attempt at resolution. Theft and extremely poorly managed.

Unlike other selling apps, all transactions are done through PayPal. Unfortunately I can’t make and transactions because I’m not 18 and so PayPal has restricted me from making certain transactions which makes it hard to buy and sell through Depop.
No Real Buyer Protection

As a seller I love Depop but I would caution against buying anything with the app. I’ve repeatedly paid for items in the app only for a seller to never ship my purchase. Depop’s customer support just redirects you to Paypals(which makes you jump through a bunch of hoops before you even have a shot at getting your money back). Additionally, Depop only lets you give sellers feedback AFTER items have shipped. Meaning if a seller never ships your item you can’t give a negative rating to warn other buyers. And seller’s ratings won’t be impacted when they steal from buyers. Overall this app lacks any real safeguards to protect buyers from fraud.

?☀️☀️Great app and have been selling on the platform for a little more than a year! I was even featured for the cyber week promotion! The app needs to have more photos available per post. 4 IS NOT ALWAYS ENOUGH TO SHOWCASE THE ITEM AND DETAILS OF A PIECE IN FULL!!! Otherwise great app and can’t wait for further improvements!☀️☀️?

i just got my debit card, and i thought this app would be a great option to sell my old clothes and to buy things second hand. i found the item i was ready to purchase, and it had me choose between my card or paypal. i don’t have a paypal, so it had me pay with my debit card through a paypal guest account. i typed in all my information and then it went to a screen where i sign into paypal. this would be fine except it didn’t give me a chance to make a password, so how would i log in? so i try forgot my password and when it loads it says something like “we can’t confirm this is you”. so of course i try to sign up for paypal to see if it even went through, then it says “there is another account with this email” so it left me stuck in a loop that led me to deleting the app because i tried everything. unfortunate.
