TERRIBLE APP, TOO FRUSTRATING

Broken App

Straight-butter

It's been months now checking on this app and it does nothing. It worked when I first got my W studio soundbar about a year ago. The last eight months or so I cannot even get an update on the app. It just freezes. There's no way to play music through the bar. Just works for TV with remote. Totally worthless technology. Please fix it!!!

Great speaker... Crappy app

Cmoney1011

The speaker sounds great. But whoever runs their app technology needs to be fired.

Operator error

Lori N-W

I too was disappointed in the app when I first installed it on my iPhone. Turns out I did not pair the wireless sound bar properly. I feel the app needs some fine tuning but with the assistance of DT customer service I was able to get the app paired. I can now play music from my phone with ease. And sounds great! I will say the instruction manual was slighly unclear. When in doubt call customer service.

Primary Speaker Playback

House of Medici

The soundbar and sub will not play as primary. Will play if part of another group. Like you + 'living room' but not function alone. App says connected but zero playback. Worked fine until about 2 weeks ago. Polk app and Def tech app same issue.

Awful

expermusic1

Super unitunitve interface, not airplay compatible. Like, they went out of their way to disable airplay compatibility. And the app needs music server search functionality.

Doesn't Make Sense...

Scotty Specks

The app is not intuitive at all, and impossible to play from the iTunes library when connected. I'm also an Amazon Prime Music subscriber and the interface for that service is terrible too. The Micro sound at is fantastic, but this app makes functionality nearly impossible. I think I'll just hook up a chromecast to the second input and make life easier...

This is the best you can do?

thandel

App is not intuitive at all. Doesn't replace the physical remote. Cannot even control tv volume with it. You cannot simply switch back to tv from music. Turning off music turns off the sound bar which then requires the physical remote control to listen to tv. Very disappointing.

Ugh. Not great

Nuclearxp

Let me start by saying I own about 1/3 of Definitives products and this app in no way represents their audio products. For starters, having their own PlayFi app instead of using the standard is aggravating and defeats the standardization purpose. Second, understand it's not DTs fault your app doesn't support PlayFi. With that said, were an Apple household and simply built Raspberry Pi devices plugged into our AUX inputs so voila, airplay and Apple Music support. Last statement is the UI flow is complicated and poorly executed. Their iOS developers need a 101 course in StoryBoarding and UI design. Nothing about connecting, changing music, speakers etc makes sense. Last, the aficionado services button opens a browser to Page Not Found. Come on Definitive. Dropping the review ANOTHER star for hanging in the background and milling battery.

No airplay

Spladlesrus

Still doesn't support AirPlay. Very disappointed. I use Apple Music for my Library but this app still cannot access the content from the subscription. It can only access what I've purchased. Very unfortunate.
