The "Hi-Fi over Wi-Fi" listening experience is just a touch away, thanks to this handy app. Choose a speaker, choose a song, and your favorite tunes are streaming all through the house.
The app offers built-in streaming options: use Pandora, Songza, Deezer, AM/FM and Internet radio, DLNA servers, or play anything from your iTunes music library, including your playlists. The app automatically organizes and indexes the music for you.
The app also handles set-up for your speakers, and gives you full control of volume and speaker selection. Choose one, or stream to all of them at once.
Please note that the Definitive app is companion software to the Definitive Technology Wireless Collection, and other products enabled with Play-Fi technology. It is not intended as a stand-alone audio player.
It’s been over a month and they still can’t figure out how to get the pandora app working on this app?? My system has been useless for my outside speakers. And don’t bother calling as the service reps were useless too.
Since the last app update either DF or Play-fi failed to update their security certificate for Pandora. Since I pay for a Pandora subscription, this is my primary streaming music app and now I can’t use it with my DF system (which consists of enough speakers for my whole house). Wish the developers would implement a fix for this soon.
Hey guys- Pandora is still relevant. Please fix the certificate issue. I really don’t Carr for Amazon and I don’t want to move to Spotify. Please fix. PS- why do you not monitor your Twitter feed?
Agree with other reviewers that the speakers are great but the software controlling them is less than satisfactory. Constantly loses connection with sound bar. Very frustrating. Previously used Sonos and would go back in a heartbeat because of the connectivity issues.
After quite a long time of disappointment this app is finally getting reliable. I haven’t had a freeze up with it yet. The hardware is great. The software is catching up.
I can’t believe I just spent $500 on a speaker that I can’t play a certain song on... what a joke
I don’t know what I can’t play my Apple Music song on the def tech app I don’t know what I can’t play my Apple Music song on the def tech app I don’t know what I can’t play my Apple Music song on the def tech app
I have to admit I LOVE how these sound... I just can't get the wireless part to work 90% of the time. PLEASE UPDATE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! There's so many reviews mentioning the same thing, even the employees at best buy recommend using other speakers even though these sound better.
I could never get this app to function properly. It kept messing up my preset between the sound bar and my Xfinity remote. I finally had a great fall and deleted it. This is a horrible app. I like the sound bar a lot.
Nothing but issues. Sounds great, when it works. Lots of connectivity issues and the app is not user friendly. I bought 2 small and 1 large speaker. One speaker doesn’t work at all after doing an update. Huge disappointment especially for the price.
