Sometimes unreliable

Yimmy291

This app is usually good. As long as it’s sunny out. There have been far more times when it’s been raining and it says cloudy. Then you report the weather and still nothing. All the other apps show rain but this one doesn’t (sometimes) I still like it but it could be better at updating itself.

Great, dark theme?

cmw1025

Really cool app, intuitive design and great way of presenting the weather. Just wish there was a dark theme.

My favorite weather app

ELboogiee

It's my fave. That is all.

iPad widget glitch

kd.yun

Dark Sky on iPad renders texts misaligned on the widget screen. It’s not centered as in iPhone, but stranded on the right side of the box. Happens both on landscape and portrait modes.

Gone downhill

SensibleCritic

Used to be a reliable app. Very inconsistent now. I don’t get precipitation alerts anymore, which was one of the great things about this app.

In the Upside Down

Mightytk24

When everyone predicted a blizzard in New England a few weeks back, Dark Sky said it would be rain. Let’s say they missed by 22”. Hell, when it was snowing, Dark Sky said it was raining. The app is a rip off.

I do not usually write reviews

MC_Escher

I do not usually write reviews because I am fundamentally lazy about that sort of thing. Having said that, I am so impressed with the basic functionality of darks guy that I’m giving it four stars on the day I downloaded it, before I even have much of a chance to use it. The ability to get push notifications about weather revenge is a big part of that. It will be sometime before I know just how accurate and useful this application is and I will come back and post another review at that time but I am already quite impressed just using it for the first time.

Awesome

Andre569

Provides most accurate weather compared to any other apps I have tried.

Perfectly streamlined

NJJim

If you're old enough you'll remember how people left other search engines for Google partly because it was so simple, fast and uncluttered. That's exactly what I love about Dark Sky. It gives me exactly what I need in a perfect interface. I also love how it will tell me that rain will start in x minutes and then stop in x minutes.

Used to be wonderful...

tdannn

I’ve been a diehard Dark Sky users for several years now. I used to live in central New Jersey and the by-the-minute updates were incredibly accurate. Now, I live in Washington DC, and the app is basically useless. Estimates on precipitation and snow are very inaccurate, even just temperature info is off. This doesn’t make sense to me, I feel like it should be more accurate in the nation’s capitol...a shame because I love everything else about this app. But I can no longer use it.
