Not intuitive
Grammy9999

I thought there were quite a few places in this game that were not intuitive enough so you knew what to do next. had to use guide several times. Also map was supposed to show where tasks needed to be completed and it did not. Only showed where you were and what was completed. Frustrating

Dark Realm: Mad Head Games does it again!
Izzyoc

It's a continuation of the adventures of Valera (although you don't have to have played the previous games to follow along). As always, you are fighting to save your kingdom and your friend Nathaniel has your back. He gifts you with his special bow and arrow (you pick up additional arrows with special functions along the way) - each time you use the fetch arrow, you have to solve a "free the blocks" puzzle which starts out pretty easy and gets a little more complicated each time. Typical beautiful graphics from Mad Head games; I got caught up in the story fairly quickly and oh my - the demo certainly ended in a cliff hanger. It was an automatic buy for me, just to find out what happens next. Map is annoyingly under the menu as opposed to a separate item accessible directly from the game screen. Another small annoyance is the need to do the same thing multiple times (i.e. To unscrew four screws, you have to keep bringing up the screwdriver from your inventory to each screw - ugh). There are Hidden feathers in each scene (icon in the corner shows where you still need to find one). Inventive HOGs with morphing objects in each HOG. Available today: Kingdom of Aurelia: Mystery of Poisoned Dagger (Absolutist ltd) - no trial, $4.99 (4.2 stars, Sept. '16) - I'll probably wait until they release the version with the free demo. Upcoming Games from Big Fish Games: (# stars is average review on BigFishGames.com for the PC or Mac version, date is the day the game was first released on any platform - usually PC or Mac) Dark Parables: Swan Princess and the Dire Tree (3.8 stars, Eipix, Jul. '16)

More Like a Movie!
Clemski68

This game is way over the top trying to be theatrical. I like the game but the amount of cut scenes is crazy. Maybe these games could be made cheaper if there was less backdrop drama.

Too soon to tell

I just started the game but I'm sick of it asking for a review ever 2 minutes...

Best game in months!

Be prepared to be entertained. Beautiful graphics and great storyline...it keeps getting better as you progress through the game. Buy now while it's $3.99. This game you'll want to play several times.

Console game with little to do with hidden object puzzles
DebRay1

Like many recent HOP games, this one is more of a console game and relies heavily on movies. The few 'hidden objects' were multiple ingredients used in making potions, such as 3 mint leaves. Mini games were badly constructed & not intuitive. Users that play HOP games usually want just that, well designed 'hidden objects' that are an integral part of an interesting storyline.

Horrible
SCD626

Ugh. I couldn't even get past 5 minutes of this nonsense. You are watching a poor, wanna be animë " movie". It's really bad. Don't let these quasi professional critics influence you.

Agree with KamenRider

Games not like they used to be

So so
Nothingsmurf

I agree with some of the other reviews here but I also disagree with some that I usually am right in line with. I did not enjoy this game. I usually enjoy mad head games but this was very short and frustrating to me. Some puzzles were very clunky and didn't work well while others had 3 levels to pass which irritate me for some reason. One like that is ok but there were quite a few. Just give me one average difficulty level please. Makes me think they do that to add time to their game which seemed short anyways. I skipped several. Maybe I'm getting picky in my old age. Someone complained there's to much story. I happen to really enjoy that in games if it's a good story. This one wasn't bad. Another complained of not many hos but I felt opposite. If you're looking for games mainly focused on HO's there are thousands like that on the App Store. It seems 10 new ones a day are added! Overall I'd say you need to play this one yourself and form your own opinion. The reviews are very mixed, some loved it while others just did not. Not bad but not great either in my opinion. And that's what it comes down to here is opinion.
