Corny, stupid story
Billyab69

Slow responses. Hint doesn't work. Story and characters are corny. Will not be purchasing it.

I love almost all Big Fish games but this one needed a little more tweaking before release. The hint button and skip buttons do not work correctly for one. I have had to delete and install again but still won't work.

Glitches
Zzz op

Skip button did not work. Rebooted game then SKIP button worked. Game does not run smooth. Bad graphics.

Be Careful, or You Might Get "Stabbed in the Back"!

This installment introduces a harrowing plot as you visit a hotel that is putting on a show conducted by a mysterious blade master. You are chosen by this menacing masked man to volunteer on stage, and then you find yourself dodging knives that are flying everywhere from all angles. The plot does not foster any novel ideas, and I've become disenchanted with finding out the identity of this villain. Gameplay is unremarkable; playing with the few added gadgets has become a monotonous chore. The graphics are second-rate as they are fuzzy and muted in presentation; an overhaul is needed to enhance the preciseness of details. The color scheme is visually shadowy and murky to create an ill-boding ambiance. The stormy, dreary background noises of the rain splattering on the ground and the echoes of booming cracks of thunder appropriately illustrate an inauspicious climate. You have the ability to customize your settings. The inventory is labeled and interactive; items require assembly. One irksome issue regarding inventory usage is that if the incorrect item is chosen, the item sluggishly drops back down to the bar; and this results in wasted time and discontentment. Upon access, the teleport map stands idle for a brief moment before transporting me to labeled locations. Transition between scenes lapses by a few seconds; locations are labeled as you manually travel. Your all-in-one journal conveniently confines some of the features to a singular place, such as your memories, which are comprised of snippets of acquired reading materials, as well as your map and the collectibles. The HOS are very interactive and puzzle-like, and they consist of an assortment of various fashions; they suit the storyline rather well. The puzzles are entertaining and diverse; and many will complement the storyline, such as when you rotate and assemble pieces of a mask in order to free the lady who is pinned by daggers to the circular board. The collectibles are highly inconspicuous in placement; you get to do something with them at the end. Unfortunately, this game does have imperfections in addition to the ones described above. Once again, consistent technical flaws are impeding satisfaction and causing frustration. Firstly, inventory interaction is awry since a response to my touch input is not immediately effectuated; at times, I find that the placing of items within the scene borderlines on tedium. Furthermore, it became taxing to move and rotate pieces in one of the puzzles. Notwithstanding the aforementioned flaws, I did enjoy the HOS and the puzzles; and the desired main components, such as custom settings, are present. Therefore, my true rating of 2.5 stars is bumped up to a final rating of 3 stars.

Blade Master

I'm really enjoying this game. It makes you think. I love the interaction HO's. The reason I gave 4 stars is because I had to select objects several times before I could get a hold of an object, but don't let that deter you from enjoying this entertaining gem.

Average game but the skip button in custom mode does not work. This causes the player to go to the menu and change difficulty mode each time to do puzzles. Poorly tested and not very good anyway. Save your money.

It a good game but its to slow and it freezes all of a sudden.

D.D. Blade Master - sad addition to what was a great series
Dracyy

Izzy said it well. Storyline is limp and anemic, objects are difficult to use and retrieve from the inventory, game is short, bonus game won't let you add the map of the woods so you don't get to finish. I'm very disappointed! Verdict: pass unless you have nothing better to do like clean the cat box or laundry.

Just o.k.

Found the beginning of the game interesting & had high hopes. However, characters seemed to have gotten lost and the storyline took a bizarre turn. Storyline did not have a nice flow to it. Teleporting map provided, hidden object scenes were unique at times. Puzzles, I thought were too easy. Would have like to have seen more interaction with the characters. Not thrilling, but not terrible. Still am hoping Big Fish will give us more than 2 games a week - as this is just not enough. I don't like having to keep from playing a game in order to have something daily to play. We dream team players need to continue to make our request heard. Big Fish will make more money and we will be happier gamers. New releases used to be daily. As far as daily deals go, we regular gamers have already played these games, so this is nothing extra. Let's make our voices heard and hopefully we will see some extra new releases. P.S. - I am not sorry for this purchase, just had No WOW factor. KdBoots ( big thanks to Lynx Minx for bringing this lack of games issue up!)
