Connections is pointless

Ok so maybe not pointless but you get so little why bother. As a family we have been to at least 6 movies since the start of the program. That is 18 tickets and concessions and nothing we have earned is worth bothering. If we had used AMC this summer I would have earned at least one if not two movies and you always get concession upgrades. Told my wife the rest of the summer it's AMC. Bye Cinamark.
No problems here. Tons of rewards

Not only do I earn points that I can redeem for movie swag and concessions, but they also send me screening invites just for using the app. Even works at the Cinemark dollar theater near me. When I didn't receive my Connection points, support staff were very helpful in getting my points. This has happened a few times now, so I have made sure to request my receipt at concessions to expedite the troubleshooting when contacting support. Without receipt, you will be asked for some payment and purchase info and they can usually find this in their system. In app ordering and refunding is made super easy and convenient. But the processing fee is pretty unnecessary if you ask me. My only qualm is that the theaters haven't equipped the QR readers to the TVM (ticket vending machines) that would normally allow one to skip the lines at the box office. The app and Connections reward program have potential and overall work well at the moment. But there is plenty of room for improvement.

Seriously, you can't purchase tickets through your account on an iPad and then pull them up from the same account on an iPhone! Utterly ridiculous! Same with rewards, etc. They say due to internet connectivity issues. Can you say database. Having worked for 35 years in IT I can assure you that this should not be an issue. Hire a developer to fix your app!

App is terrible. It can never connect to wifi or when I am at the movies. Tried downloading a few times now. I give up. Person who created or maintains app should be fired

Often Rejects Perfectly Good Credit Cards, Doesn't Save Payment Information Across Devices

This app is at best mediocre, and at worst supremely frustrating and downright useless. When it works, seeing the mobile tickets to add to your wallet, and automatically earning Connections points while booking a ticket is very nice. However, at least 60% of the time when I try to buy tickets through the app, it rejects my credit cards. Says the payment couldn't be processed or the billing zipcode or security code were incorrct, even though I've been using the card exactly the same way with dozens of other online retailers without issue. And it's not even consistent; I have had the same card both get rejected and go through with this app in the same month. Last week I went through 3 credit cards before I finally found one that this app would accept. My second gripe is that it doesn't store payment information. You have to retype everything in every time you check out. If you could fix those two things, and also make it so the entire theater is visible in the app when you choose your reserved seat, I would rate the app 4 stars (right now you can't see the last two or three columns of seats on each side unless you pinch and zoom out and try to tap them really quickly, at least on iPhone 6)

Lists all the movies movies being shown at each theater. No problems on this app. Even gives you the ticket prices and how much it will cost determined for the day and time the movie is being shown. I've had no problems with it. Only thing that could make it better is to add trailers for each movie.
Update erased all credits

Well that was convenient for them! I had a pretty significant amount of rewards and credits in my account until it auto updated and erased it all. Not that I really needed it, but shady is all I can say. Get it right Cinemark, in a time where customer loyalty matters, I'm disappointed.
The greatest app I've ever had

Cinemark is not only an amazing movie theater but also a great, family friendly experience. The workers are the best part about this theater. I live in Texas and attend Cinemark in Roanoke regularly and I have to say there's nothing better than it. This app adds so many great features and rewards that will always be close to my heart. The app looks simple and elegant and works so well. The reward coupons are easy to use and I am rewarded regularly for putting my phone in cinemode. I will use this app till I die.
