The font size for the development cards is huge with the new iOS update. The spacing of the words is all off now too.

Updated - completely wiped and reset my iPad. Catan works like a charm now. Not sure why. -------------------- Have not played online multiplayer yet but play against the AI at least once a day. It is buggy in that sometime during the game (every single game), the card interface goes blank. Fortunately you can save your game, totally close the app and restart to bring it back. It also affects endgame when looking at stats. I still enjoy the game enough to keep at it. It really is a 5-star game if the bugs were not there.

This app would !be great if not for inability to finish a game. When the robber gets rolled you lose your buttons toolbar and have to close the game. Haven't been able to finish a game yet so this was a waste of money. FIX THIS PLEASE!

Good game but...

The computer has loaded dice and will not roll your numbers if you are in medium/hard mode. Unable to see how many roads/shelters you can be build after about 15 rounds. You need to leave the game and come back in to reset it. This is an old bug and should've been fixed years ago. Fun game but definitely needs improvement. I doubt they ever will after all this time.

This is a fun game with glitches. My wife and I have learned to put up with the glitches that affect the play. One of the most annoying glitches is the progress cards completely disappear once in awhile. To get them back we do not log out but simply turn the app off and then back on and log back in. This glitch does happen in the offline play as well. Now just as of today the login is not working to allow my wife and I to play against each other. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

I have played this app for 2 years now. I can no long play online and I get a “socketIOerror error -6.” Even when I could play online, there were a few glitches in cities and knights where: commercial harbor would cause the game to freeze if the player didn’t have a commodity to give. Other than this, the app is clean, fast, smooth, and pretty intuitive. My whole family and I bought the expansions and everything and we have been playing with each other from across the country, which is nice. I sure hope the developers continue to update this app, as their newer Catan Universe app is absolutely terrible.

The look of the game and the controls are very good. The only good thing!!! When you play the game the dice goes against you!!! Not the casino way, but if you have numbers like 4 5 8 9 and 10 the dice will roll constantly 2 3 6 10 etc. This goes on game after game. For example you have numbers like 3 4 5 6 9 11 12 but the dice rolls 2 8 and 10 all the time. The robber is another thing, when the 7 passes right before you and you are robbed time and time again, always when you have aome resources. Then in the next move some other player can always move the robber right on the spot where it hurts you the most.!!! THIS IS NOT RIGHT..I WILL THROW THIS GAME OUT AND FORGET ABOUT IT!!!

The game play is fairly easy. The graphics are good. When playing a computer, it cheats. Bad. Rally bad. Like, so bad you wonder why you are even playing the game. I’ve play about 20 games and well over 50% of the time if I have more than 7 cards, on my turn, I get robbed. The last game was 3 times in a row, for example. If your going to buy this game, plan on playing with friends, the AI is bad.
