Biologist

Dr. Ruch

My nutritionist told me to use Cronometer because I lost so much weight and they want me to put weight back on. My use of Cronometer has impressed my visiting nurse and my visiting dietitian because of how flexible it is and how much information you can control with Cronometer. Two young gentleman that work at a supplement and powder protein store and are also personal trainers were very impressed because you can also track your alcohol consumption and water intake with Cronometer, that’s just in the basic free software. I am a biologist by trade, I know to gain weight you have to eat more calories than you’re burning. To lose weight you have to burn more calories than you’re eating cronometer is a very easy way to track your calorie intake. You can enter the name of foods or if it’s a packaged product you can scan its barcode and most of the products you buy are already in the program. I am going to purchase Cronometer Gold which gives you more than the free program.

Janky, slow, unpolished

rmaximo23

I appreciated the features—I was looking for an app that lets me track micronutrients in the Health app—but I can’t tolerate how unpolished and clunky the app is. I’d rather *not* track my micros than deal with this app. You can do better!

Best app to track calories, exercise, macros

I am on a ketogenic diet and love Cronometer for its breakdown of carbs, net carbs, protein, and fat. It read data from Fitbit (and others) so exercise based on heart rate and other factors is accurate. I’m a premium member-lifer because I’ll use it daily from now on.

What’s the point of selecting diets if the macros don’t adjust?!?

tmc1233

This seems like a good app with a lot going for it. But really?!? I’m on keto and it tells me that I should have 150 grams of carbs daily, even though I’ve selected keto for my eating regime. Am I missing something?

Thanks

I’ve used several apps and this is the best for the cost...

I love this app it’s helping so much I’ve lost 70 pounds I wish you could make a way to add whole recipes instead on have to add each individual ingredient to the recipe builder this would be a great add on thanks

Amazing

I absolutely love this app. It’s super easy to track your food, scan things into the app, add new items. It links with other apps like Apple health and gives you pretty accurate feedback on how much you can eat. If you’re trying to eat healthy this will for sure give you a jump start!!!!

Best tracker app!

Very detailed. Breaks down macronutrients. Easy to use.

Not totally accurate for vegetarians

RaeaJade

I’ve just started using this and overall I like it. However, I don’t think it’s very accurate. For example it always shows 0.0 for omega 3 and omega 6 when I know I’ve eaten foods that contain omegas. Same with the amino acids. I’m a vegetarian, but I eat eggs and tofu and other foods that contain amino acids, but they are ALL always listed at 0.0. For a test I tried adding a meat product and that worked, but there are certainly vegetarian sources of aminos. I even tried logging Braggs Liquid Aminos and is still showed 0.0. It’s a real bummer because otherwise this is a good app.

If you try to delete your account they will point you to navigation that doesn’t exist. Then claim through their help desk they can’t delete your account. Oldest trick in the book for shady apps that don’t want to use losers.
