Best nutrition/calorie-counting app ever

trivmh

Accurate database, no sifting through endless user-added garbage. Easy to change serving sizes. Recipe feature is awesome. So much data available but you can use as much or as little as you want. Excellent instructions and well-monitored forum for questions but so intuitive not much help is needed. Works well now with Apple Watch - battery drain was an issue but fixed with an update (needed to unpair and re-pair watch to resolve). It’s just an incredibly well thought out and professionally executed app that makes tracking fun.

Best app to achieve goals

MMMMandss

I love this app. I recently starting taking my weight loss more seriously and counting calories. This app makes it so easy and syncs to my Apple Watch so it gives me accurate calories consumed and burned. I also love the many different diets you are able to choose from so it can better help you achieve nutrition goals. I just love this app and would highly recommend

Easy!

Love this app - much easier than others, big database of food, much more detail

Hard to understand

Cant figure out the calorie summary sections. Makes no sense. I use it though because ive heard it has the most accurate nutritional info otherwise id of moved on to something else already.

Can’t believe how good this is

Just wow. I’m a long time food and activity tracker, and have used most of them. I always ended up back with MyFitnessPal, but kind of hated it. It was definitely quick since I’d had it for years, and over that time inserted lots of recipes, etc. But still, I was always disappointed when it came to the accuracy of the data and the nutrition information. MyFitnessPal is one of the best, to be sure, but focuses heavily on calories. Cronometer does all that, easily as well as MFP, but the level of detail, analysis and support when it comes to actual nutrition is just the best, no question. I can’t even believe it. I wasn’t going to write a review on this, I rarely review things, but when I came across the “Ask the Oracle” feature, I felt like these people have been so thoughtful with their app, that I immediately stopped using it, and came here to write the review. While the app has many superb and distinctive other features, the Ask the Oracle feature lets me immediately ask what kind of foods might help me increase a mineral or vitamin, etc, so let’s say I see that my vitamin K levels are low (easily spotted by the app), I go to the Oracle and select vitamin K, and it pops up (a) the daily target, (b) a list of ranked foods with their Vitamin K values per 100g, (c) the caloric value of that amount. It’s pretty incredible, really. And while all of this is available via some googling action, I don’t know where you could get both an analysis of your diet’s deficiencies along with a very slick way to address that. There’s tons more I’d like to write about, but as noted, I rarely write review and this is enough. Suffice it to say, you’d be doing very well if you want a real diet tracker for real health, that’s very easy to use, and you choose this one.

So close to perfect

no pues wow!

I have been using the “Lose it” app for the last 6 months and have been happy with it but then found “Cronometer.” It initially caught my attention because it had more functions to capture and provide a more detailed analysis of my food intake. As a new diabetic person, these apps have helped me monitor what I am eating. The draw back of “Cronometer” is that it has a less extensive database than “lose it” and its not as easy to input new foods.

Pretty good

Bad4p.r.

The one thing I’ve noticed that I would like changed is the amino acids profile. Otherwise, I like the app.

The only way I can lose weight is by counting calories. This app is much more user friendly than MyFitnessPal. I love this app.
