Cleanly is a good way to lose all your clothing. STAY AWAY. On my very first order, they marked the order as delivered without delivering everything. After waiting with chat for an hour, they asked me for a description of my items so they could attempt to track them down, then terminated the support session. If the situation changes I’ll update this but this is way worse than I’d ever expect.

I deleted all the other laundry apps because Cleanly has the best customer service. I use them for all my laundry.

I used Cleanly when I arrived to NYC last year and was happy with having $30 discount as everything looked so expensive to me at the time. I had several issues with my pick up and and delivery times that were not respected without warning, and I started being anxious using this service. Then one day, they lost a bag of clothes and this is when I realized their customer service was almost unreachable : I could not find any phone number. At the time, all my possessions where inside the bag! They finally answered my emails, found my order and delivered it a couple of days later and gave me some store credit. I used the store credit and never used Cleanly after. Yesterday I received a $30 coupon and thought I’d check this offer so went to download the app again, but instead I read the recent comments about the unreliability of Cleanly and I remembered why I decided never to use their services again. Last February I found a local cleaning company : they wash locally, deliver for free and hang dry items are just $0,35 (comparing to $1,60 for Cleanly!) My advise : search your neighborhood for a better option and run away from Cleanly.

They are terrible !! They lost my clothes, delivered them to someone else, and took over a week to return them (returned with numerous missing items I may add). I’ve never had a worst customer service experience when a so-called manager was supposed to call me numerous times (never did). Spoke to people who gave numerous conflicting stories and it was never made clear when my clothes were to be delivered. I had to rearrange my entire weekend schedule to be here for my clothes delivery. They were not at all apologetic or sincere and I will never be using this service again, highly suggest no one else does either !!!!

Great and reliable pick up and delivery but sometimes things are not washed well. My sheets had some coffee spilled on them which would have washed out with proper amount of soap but the residue is still there. This has happened a few times, not with bad stains but regular soiling.

The in-app support doesn’t let you talk to a real person, only a bot with limited options. Their help section in the app says the concierge will bring a bag for the first order, but he showed up with no bags and said they don’t actually provide them, so the app help section has misleading information... I ended up having to find a plastic bag for my clothes and had to limit the number of clothes I wanted to send, because the plastic bags were small. Overall a terrible experience so far.

They lost my $400 down comforter and then tried to blame me for putting it in the wrong bag (which I did not). Customer service is the absolute worst. My husband and I emailed back and forth for 3 months to setup a refund / reimbursement - We didn’t receive either. Prior to the comforter, they lost drying cleaning for me twice (which they did track down). They also gave me items from another customer, so I’m sure someone is enjoying my comforter somewhere in the city.

First order, they immediately lost all my things, gave me someone else’s bag. Eventually got my things back, but not without some important items missing. I won’t be using this app again.

I use Cleanly for bulkier items that I can't wash as easily on my own. Their service has always been excellent, with everything coming back fresh and clean. Their concierges are always timely and polite. The push notifications are helpful reminders and I love the delivery tracking feature.

We use Cleanly all the time. It’s convenient, but also our laundry always comes back perfectly clean, dry and nicely folded. The ordering system is very easy and we love being able to set our washing preferences. The concierge persons are on time, prepared and friendly. Obviously, we’d love to have in-unit washer/dryer, but Cleanly makes “doing our laundry” as simple and satisfying as can be.
