Buffer appears to be blocking some news sites. The sites work fine and the social media sites themselves have no problem with them. This has been going on for months and it seems to be permanent. Other social media managers work with the sites just fine. Buffer still can’t handle @mentions on LinkedIn that other mangers can. Time for me to find a new solution. —- ORIGINAL Review 3 stars —- I’m just getting started and there is a little bit of a learning curve, but Buffer is a great help and is actually getting me to engage in social media daily for my business, where it was previously a chore.

It’s okay except that it’s constantly failing to post my scheduled Instagram posts and for some reason disconnects. I’m over it and deleting it. Waste of time.

Fails to post updates

I’ve been a long-time user, but finally canceled my account yesterday. The app has repeatedly not posted my updates and sent a “failed” message. Says it can’t upload my media. (A short video) . It schedules the post initially and said the media was uploaded successfully but tells me AFTER the fact that it wasn’t uploaded. To find out at the end of the day that your scheduled posts weren’t posted is beyond frustrating and it’s not the first time it’s happened. I don’t feel I can trust this app any longer. If you use it, check frequently to make sure your posts went up. I’ll find a more reliable alternative.

I love this system but I give it a 4. It disconnected from my FB account and won’t reconnect. I can’t get Buffer or FB to help me with the issue. It works well with my other social accounts.

I tried them all and Buffer is always the one I go back to. The interface is clear. The help from the software or from the customer service is second to none. Pricing is honestly a little weird as you need to pay a lot of money to work as a team on more than 8 channels. So they are more expensive than Hootsuite for small businesses but get way cheaper for bigger ones, which is a bummer. It compensates with a company culture that is pretty cool. All in all the best tool to share content on social media is the one that allows you to do it fast and professionally. Buffer does that. ‘Nuff said.

Is there any way to tag other accounts in the mobile app for Instagram? Can’t seem to find any way to do this.
