I've used version 4 for two years to run name badges at trade shows. Worked great with QL720nw. I'm horrified to find that the new version 5 is harder to use, with more clicks required for everything, makes it easy to accidentally ruin your templates, asks unnecessary confirmation questions, and DELETES fields completely off of your template if the selected contact has the field blank, requiring you to reload the label without saving it every time you load a new contact. It's a total disaster that makes running event registration much more difficult. If only we could roll back to version 4... a HUGE loss, unbelievable...

The app keeps crashing on my phone. It's horrible to use on my Mac. I feel like the printer was a waste of money.

These printers have always been finicky for me. I’ve unplugged the printer, closed and restarted the app, changed to a new roll of 12mm/0.47 diameter labels and the app still tells me it’s not the correct size. Frustrating...

Do you have bar code plug-ins? If not, can the next version include datamatrix barcode. I use a number of brother printer in which some work from WiFi and others from USB. I use P-touch editor which has datamatrix bar code included.

No way to backup or sync templates. Should sync with mac app. Hard to align stuff.

Here is the first screen I get after running the app and selecting my powered on device: Sorry, can’t embed. It is a blank screen with no options. I finally figure out how to re-search for the device. Connected. Great! Try to print my first “hello world” label. Not an obvious option. I finally figure out “font” means “label formatting” but none of the changes work unless the label is saved. A train wreck of an app with obvious grammatical issues in the GUI (chenglish). Will return the product as a manual label Leroy would be way easier and less expensive.

Just a bunch of limited templates that are hard to edit. And you can’t import a custom template from the desktop app! You’re stuck with what they give you. Lame.

Not as bad as the ratings say at all! I have been using this app for 5 years. I have to say the app has evolved pretty well! Now it is like a mobile version of P-Touch, if not better. It is really flexible in terms of editing and laying out elements on a label design. This is my first time writing review for the app, I just want to share how grateful I am that it has been much much easier to use, even though there is still a long way to go.

This app is a disaster. It works but it looks like it was designed by someone’s brother-in-law. If I could give it less than one star I would.
