Great app and neat design.

I feel this app and the inner workings on brain waves and the underlying tones to be most pleasing and actually working, especially for focus at work. I am a paid subscriber and for the most part as long as the signal is good from a WiFi source I can get my stuff to download for offline listening. Overall is a really good thing you all have going here and would encourage others to at least give it a try. Thanks Brain.fm for helping me focus at work.

Epic!

I don’t sleep anymore without using this app. It has the power to stop my busy mind and that is something I have been unable to do my whole life

Just works.

It really does help you focus the music is perfect background noise that helps drown out distracting thoughts and people in the office. Highly recommend.

Really Awesome.

I love this app! I used to spend lots of interruptive time searching for soundtracks to listen to (I’m a network design engineer, so lots of diagrams and spreadsheets, which requires intense focus). Ever since I found this app a few days ago (from article on Engadget), I’ve been enjoying hours of focused work and I’ve never been so productive! A big thanks to the great minds that put this together, my brain thanks you!!!

Focus, man!

I primarily use the Focus music while at work on reading on the train to get into a zone and limit distractions. I find it definitely works for me. It was awesome when the team released additional genres under each category (“more music”)

This is the real deal

I enjoy using this app....still has room for improvement

Received a 1 year paid subscription as a gift. I like that I can download tracks for offline listening and adjust the duration of listening tim. I want to use guided meditation more but cannot get to a quiet space in my head and body with that awful voice narration. I read a review where someone said the music overpowered the man’s voice and to adjust the volume so the guiding voice is audible. I have the opposite experience. The voice is too loud, harsh, overpowering, NOT conducive to enabling a meditative state. Also, when listening to the new tracks - groove focus and piano, I cannot see the top of the screen to press the menu in the corner to go back to the main screen. It’s very very faint in the background .

A part of my GSD stack

When I want to get something done, I turn to Brain.Fm. When combined with good nutrition and sleep, I feel unstoppable.

Guided Meditation eliminated suddenly

Daniel Piz

One of the main features of this app was the guided meditation which allowed beginners looking to learn the art of mindfulness to lose the fear and have a step-by-step guide was suddenly comply eliminated. Feedback was not acknowledged and it seems that once you sign up and pay in advance you don’t seem to exist to the developers. Truly disappointing personally since that small function in this app was having a big impact in my life.

Great App. It works. But it needs work.

Get this app. Give it a shot. It works as advertised. But they still need to work out a few kinks. Connection issues exist and I am sure these will get better with time. The thing I really want though is for the app to learn your preferences as you listen and skip tracks. Yes, you can go to the “more music” section and choose from categories and keep searching until you find a track you like. But I don’t want to spend time each time searching for a track that I like. It’d be nice to turn the app on, press the “focus” button, and be fairly certain that it’s gonna play something you’ll like. That’s the whole point of using this app- to focus...to get in the zone. But you end up having to focus on just finding the right track before you can tackle your actual task at hand. And yeah, when you’re ready to work and there’s a connection issue that’s no good either. BUT don’t let these relatively minor issues detract from the fact that this is a great app!! Give this a shot. It’s great. It works. There is a reason that I am a lifetime subscriber.
