BOSEbuild Sound is the companion app to the BOSEbuild™ Speaker Cube. It includes experiments, fun activities, videos, animations, and more. It will also guide you with step-by-step, animated instructions as you assemble your speaker cube.

With the BOSEbuild Speaker Cube and the Sound app, you’ll get hands on with magnets and electromagnets, discover how sound and speakers really work, and even build your own working Bluetooth® speaker. Everything you need is included – no tools required!

Great afternoon project

Spent two hours with my granddaughter learning how speaker drivers actually work with the supplied test magnet and coil. Made a simple speaker by attaching the coil to the cardboard box and putting the magnet in the coil. Following the instruction in the app really foolproof. Moved on to building the actual cube speaker, simple assembly perfect for a grade schooler interested in how things work. Finished product is a high quality Bose speaker. A lot of fun and good learning experience.

The speaker is a great build with some cool features while they work. Sadly all those functions rely on an app with a few big bugs and not the most helpful settings menu.

My app glitched so it reset to the coil launch!? Please try to fix this I have to light it up for New Years!!!!!!! Other than that great ??!!!!

Overall, this is a great app. However, it would be great to have a menu to just play music, instead of flipping through lessons to turn on the Bose tuning, colors, etc. The point is to learn, but also to be able to listen to music! Also, there should be an option to skip all the tutorials. I've gone through the tutorials on my iPad, but most of my music is on my phone, and I don't want to have to go through the coil tutorial etc all over again as it's actually really annoying. Please consider the suggestions and I'll see you in the next update :S

This is a companion app for a BoseBuild speaker which is an amazing kit for anyone who would like to understand the basics of speaker design. It has room for improvement, but overall idea is just great!
Great project but in need of a software update

My daughter loved this project but when it reset itself after she finished building it we're faced with starting over to gain full functionality. Last update was what a year ago, come on Bose

I went through the tutorial and built my speaker using a phone that I don’t have anymore. When I still was using said phone I enjoyed using the app with my speaker(especially tuning it) but I soon lost what I had saved on the app when my phone died due to water damage, so here I am with a new phone and downloading this app in anticipation to tune my speaker aaaand I couldn’t get past the second part of the tutorial because it wanted me to go through the steps of building it all over again! I was really upset with this and although I don’t need the app to use the speaker I feel like being able to tune it and change the LED sequence were really nice features, so Bose I’m begging you please make it so that I don’t have to go through the tutorial all over again for something I already built!

I was able to connect through Bluetooth and play music but the app doesent work which was one of the whole purposes of getting this. Please let me know otherwise this is worthless

So...That_Happened
The same thing happened to me that happened to “VantasChild”, it was working perfectly until the iPad until I was using broke. I tried to use it on my new phone but it was impossible to complete the second step because I had already put together my speaker. It still allows me to play music, but I would also enjoy having her ability to tune it too. Thanks
