Bose SoundTouch App Desperately Needs An Update

I found the app to be great for my SoundTouch 300 for over 4 years. However, after adding the Smart Soundbar 300, I find the Bose Music app to be more functional with base, treble, base module and balance controls in the app. It would be nice for the developers to implement similar functionality in the SoundTouch app or make Bose Music app compatible with SoundTouch 300.

I’m so over Bose they have a amazing sound quality but their app is so outdated. It’s very common for the app not to find my speaker so I’m constantly re-connecting them.Also in the middle of playing music my app stops working where I can’t control the volume or disconnect the music. I think I will stop buying bose products because they don’t care to keep up with technology and their apps get outdated extremely fast

Received a Bose soundtouch as a gift 5 years ago and after multiple attempts to link it through my WiFi I haven’t succeeded yet. It’s basically a CD player due to this. Whenever the app has an update I try again to no avail. No support. After going through instructions multiple times I get same message. “Can’t connect” speaker to your account, try again later- ya right. Piece of junk, outdated method of connecting. What’s wrong with Bluetooth or WiFi? Why do I need an app every time I want to play a song on my unit? Ridiculous!

This app used to be Phenomenal. Do not purchase this product if your are going to upgrade you device internet. After system updates were installed speaker will not connect to internet

Volume Cut Out When Slider is Used

Every time I raise and lower the volume from my phone’s control center or using the slider in the Music app it results in music completely cutting out for about 3-5 seconds. I can only control the volume with my phone’s physical volume buttons to avoid the sound dropping. This is really honestly very lame and doesn’t happen with any other speaker I or my friends have.

I am quickly coming to hate this app!! I finally got everything connected—now when I open the app it goes immediately to try to add another speaker!!! I can’t get to the settings or anything in the app!


Full of Bugs!

The application firstly does not have a dark mode(which is a surprise in 2021) and also no support for apple music and full of bugs where music does not play.

This app is good when it works. I often have trouble choosing my music since the Wi-Fi signal between my iPhone and my Wave Music System don’t link up always. It’s probably never going to change since it’s a flaw in the design of the device. It’s often better to just connect my iPhone to the Wave Music System via Bluetooth and choose my music with another app like SiriusXM, Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, etc. I know it will always connect that way.
